Sengoku Horizon

As Jiao burst onto the scene the first explosions of the night took place above her. With a strong gaze skyward and wide eyes she cheered loudly in triumph. She hadn't arrived too late, and apparently just in time. Jiao's hot spirit had often been compared to fireworks and she loved them with all of her heart. Still looking up she then looked at the scene around her to see the girl named Suishoku walking towards her with rice balls and tea. At least that is what she read the food to be.

She was a bit shocked. Even at this surprise moment this girl Suishoku was still acting polite and proper. Was she a maiden from some famous clan and Jiao just wasn't aware? If that was the case, even someone as hot blooded as her couldn't just be openly rude. Taking the food and tea the Chinese girl gave a polite, deep bow.
"Your hospitality, even while being shocked, is amazing. I am deeply grateful." it was probably the most polite thing she had said since arriving in Japan. It wasn't like she wasn't educated, or some barbarian. She just happened to be in a bad mood whenever a certain strategist happened to be around. Which, thank the gods, she wasn't at the moment!

Walking over to Roshi she looked at the stock of fireworks he had assembled.
"This is really impressive. Are some of these Chinese imports? I can tell they are! Look at these dragon shafts! Very nice!" she said with a bit of awe. She hadn't expected to see something this grand from a student at the school. Maybe from a great lord or the Shogun, but certainly not a student. Every time she had seen Roshi, all twice now, he always had some kind of grand display for her and she found it quite wonderful.
"Please show us more!" she said to Roshi, quickly looking at Suishoku and nodding twice, as though to make sure Suishoku would cheer Roshi on as well. The girl wanted to see the entire sky filled with lights!
