It was a cold, dark night when the three had entered the school building. Three groups had already left, two of them out into the chilling cold of the night heading towards Edo Bugei's library. These three, however, would have a very different fate. As they had finished signing up something strange would be instantly felt. All three of them would feel something heavy in their pockets.

Reaching into their pockets they would find a note on old paper, with burnt edges and three names.
Todo Inori
Bessho Ryuji
Li Naomi

Men's Dorms

Third Floor

Something would instantly feel off about this. The group would have just come from the dorms. The dorms had a festive feel to them of course but nothing like the main school building. Nothing strange or scary had been set up. So after just coming from the dorms the group would then have to go back. As all three finished reading the strange note the doors to the main school building burst open as in the distance the dorms seemed even brighter than usual. The wind seemed to carry all three of their names.

It seemed that Naomi had indeed came prepared for the occassion. Her attire would, normally, be seen as appropriate and acceptable for Halloween. However, it seems that Edo Bugei; the educational institution she transferred to recently have its own ways of honoring events, especially to do with special holidays, such as Halloween, for example. The main school building is certainly warmer than the campus ground, but barely, to her. She looked around at the other students in the area, most were already assigned to their teams; she assumed it would eventually be her turn. Kana was already assigned to her and currently making her way to a destination set for her group, she wondered for a brief moment if the Honda scion had already been assigned to his?

Suddenly as she felt something heavy was in her pocket. Even though she remembered she did not place anything there earlier, as she prepared herself. She quickly and calmly reached into her pocket to find a paper that was, perhaps to her thought, magically placed there. She thought this was an interesting way to start things off.

"Now, isn't this interesting"
. She muttered, half-giggling.

Reading the content, it was mentioning the team she's assigned to and their presumed destination from the look of it. Instead of immediately going as the path opened before her, she would wait for the other two.

In the distance the dorms seemed to shine radiantly in a paranormal fashion. The ambience was absolutely perfect, she'd have to give them props for putting so much effort into making tonight a success.

She doesn't know exactly where the male dorms is located.

Perhaps the other two assigned with her could guide her?

The term 'high tension' would have been a good one to describe Inori's disposition while she waited in the main building's lobby. No amount of chill in the air would deter her enthusiasm for an event that she swore was going to be the most exciting in a long while. You heard all kinds of stories about haunted houses and tests of bravery in high school when you were younger. To think that she was at just the right place for a campus-wide haunted house was super awesome! So lucky for her that she'd transferred into Edo Bugei a few months back! Though she didn't really have a costume for the occasion she'd dressed up in her kyudo uniform to at least somewhat be in the spirit of the day.

Each group that got to leave ahead of them made her all the more bouncy and eager to get going. When would it be her turn? There just had to be something really neat and spooky waiting for her wherever she was going to go! When her turn finally came it was in the form of a piece of paper in the pocket of a little pouch she'd brought along to hold her phone and a few select keychains. Reading it brought a big grin to her face - there were two girls in their trio including herself, but it was to be the boys' dorm. Not that she was totally unaware of their location since her brother was attending Edo Bugei as well.

"Whoa, it's all lit up for us and everything! Like the spirits are waitin' for us.. or they're havin' a party and we're invited! This is gonna be awesome!" she pumped her fist in the air, "Let's go!"

Inori set off with a confident step before stopping mid-stride and looking over her shoulder. Might be a good idea to make sure they were all on the same page, "Oh, I'm Inori by the way! Shall we go?" Her manner of speaking had suddenly become more refined than before, more the sort of speech her family expected of her than what was natural.

Ryuji's hand started shaking as he felt the weight of the paper in his pocket, how did that get there? He pulled it out slowly to reveal their names, and their location. "Mens dorms?" Ryuji thought to himself before sighing a breath of relief. He had been there not too long ago, there was no way anybody could set anything up to scare him to bad. Maybe someone jumping out and screaming at him. Putting his paper back in his pocket he joined the others who where seemingly waiting for him. I dont know about all that, i just came from the dorms and i doubt they had anytime to set anything more than a cheap jumpscare up Ryuji retorted to Inori. Conveniently forgetting the paper that seemingly magically appeared on his person. Oh and im Ryuji, Nice to meet you all. He said to both girls as he followed the energetic one to the dorms. "yeah they couldnt have set anything up...right?" Ryuji thought to himself before turning a slight shade paler as they walked

As the students talked and learned each other's name the cold winds continued to blow from outside. In the distance the dorms looking startling bright, like a spotlight in the darkness. When the students finished talking they would have a long walk ahead of them through the cold. Nothing would jump out at them, shock them, or scare them. Instead it was just the coldness of the night on the long walk back to the dorms.

However something strange would happen once they reached the dorms. In the distance the dorms had seem to brightly lit, as though they could outshine all of Edo itself. Yet when they got to the dorms the power was out. The dorm building was completely black. The only door unlocked was to the first floor of the boy's dorm. To make maters worse the wind was starting to pick up, leaving the three little choice but to enter.

The first floor of the dorm was pitch black and all of the dorms shut. Yet in the distance an emergency, red, back-up light seemed to be glowing and humming at the far end of the hall.

Things were really picking up as the trio drew inexorably closer to the dorm building. Not just the chill in the air combined with the increasing breeze that promised dark things ahead. More than that the people running the attraction inside the boys' dorm were really going above and beyond what Inori had been expecting. Actually she had no idea what to expect and that was a part of the fun of this all. Those lights that had shined like a beacon in the dark night were all shut off by the time that they arrived at the dorms. Spooky! Either that or the spirits didn't pay their electric bill on time - that was more sad than spooky really. Ghosts ought to take more responsibility over their living situation - but then, did ghosts really need electricity in the first place? Quite the interesting thing to ponder.

But no matter, it was time to venture forth further into this spooky holiday experience. Inori was rather gung ho about this all and was the first one to step through the door to the boys' dorm. Everything was dark except for the red lighting down the hallway; the first floor looked like a den of evil where oni might lurk. That was pretty cool considering it was normally just a hallway with a bunch of guys hanging out. Probably. Regardless of what it might normally be she looked at the other two students with a big enthusiastic grin.

"Well then, this looks promising! Let's get goin' and check out whatever skeletons are in these closets.. or whatever!" she encouraged before striding forward with great excitement.

Earlier

Naomi met two other students who are meant to be in the same group as her, one of them, a female just like her; who introduced herself as 'Inori' appeared to be in a disposition of high-tension, which isn't too far off from her own disposition of joy that can easily be mistaken for either high tension or severe curiosity of what comes after. As for the other student, Ryuji, his reaction; which, appear to her as quivering due to confusion - perhaps - is a normal reaction to strange happenings like this one. She smiled as it was refreshing to see normal reaction out of this situation, her own reaction had been rather odd and likewise Inori's, is even more out of place.

"Ah, it's nice to meet you guys, my name is Naomi of the Li".

She moved from the place she was standing, following Inori and just enough in her pace so that Ryuji could follow.

Present

It seems that they were promised dark things ahead of them. They surely had not been expecting an even colder temperature; as the already cold air became even colder. She felt a bit of unkind chill. The fact that there was nothing in their way as of this moment certainly pose a certain kind of idea, a strong implication of terror lying in wait.

Cold was potent enough to scare most people, normally speaking that is, but that probably isn't the case for Naomi or Inori who are equally enthusiastic to found out what's waiting ahead of them. The dorm was blanketed by darkness, now that cold combined with darkness became even more menacing, as it should be, but not for Naomi.

She's been through this kind of situation far too often in the recent times.

She can easily see that the wind is gradually picking up for the worse, looking at the entrance to the dorm, she believe that there is no other choice but to try and go inside the seemingly empty first floor of the boys dorm. She can perceive humming in the distance, but she concentrated on her team mates who are by her side.

With Inori leading them; as excited and enthusiastic as Naomi was since the get-go, she nodded in agreement at her comment. In turn responding with: "It's certainly very promising, Inori".

"Let's go on ahead, and, you too, Ryuji. Let us uncover the mystery that waits for us".

Her tone filled with fresh energy and enthusiasm.

The goal was clear for the three of them. Right now they had to make it to the red exist light at the end of the hallway. That would take them into the larger central dorm area as well as the regular stairs up. As they started proceeding down the pitch black hallway they would barely be able to see their own hands in front of their faces.

The three, plus their shoulder companions, moved forward down the dark hallway. As they proceeded the hallway would feel far long then it use to. Occasionally they would bump into people who seemed to say nothing as they quickly scuttled off to a dorm room and then loudly slammed the door. The trio would also hear strange whispers and feel eyes starring at them from the various door ways to the boy's dorms. Though they couldn't make out the words, or actually see any eyes looking directly at them.

Darkness and the strange new world of the boys' dorms was no match for the inherent confidence of a Todo girl! Inori was totally sure that if they just forged forward without delay things would turn out just fine. Obviously they wouldn't put any of the coolest stuff right at the beginning of the experience. You had to pace yourself to make sure that the scares and terrors were fairly evenly distributed. At least it should be that way if your test of courage were any good! Clearly the other girls trusted her enough to let her lead the way, placing their hands on her shoulders to let her guide them forward.

"Excellent! Now then, let's charge forward into the unknown!" she proclaimed cheerfully before beginning the sluggish march down the dark hallway. The dark hallway which seemed to be awfully longer than she remembered dorm halls being.

Nevermind that! She had a leading role to play! Every now and then she bumped into someone - possibly guys who weren't in on the spooky stuff, or people who were in on it but were just getting into position. Inori whispered apologies when it happened but the people she ran into just went off and slammed their doors! How rude. Odder still she had the feeling that they were being watched with every step they took down the hallway. People were whispering around them, either about the strange visitors or something else as well.

"I guess they're not used to girls being in the boys' dorm.." she shrugged, confident the other girls were right behind her. After a moment or two she spoke more loudly, "It's okay guys, we're just here for a spectacular spooky adventure! Don't mind us!" Yeah, that'd show 'em it was fine!"

As Inori and the others charged forward with confidence they would reach the staircase up to the floor they had meant to go to. As everyone looked around they noticed a mysterious fourth person with the group. A young man wearing a black hoody. As the young man took off the hood of his apparent sweatshirt it was a completely white skull with glowing yellow eyes that instantly screamed as all of the doors on the floor opened and students dressed like goblins started rushing out towards the students.

This would give all of the students no choice but to quickly run up the stairwell and to the second floor. The second floor, unlike the first, seemed fairly well lit. Though in the hallway multiple bodies hung from the ceiling, all of them looking like hanging victims with pale make up and slits wrists. All of them just stared at the students. Wide, empty, scared eyes. The students would have no choice but to push through them on the way to the staircase that would take them to the third floor.

Now this was getting exciting! At first there'd been a little doubt in Inori's mind as to whether she was going to see anything that was particularly spooky. Dark stairs didn't seem all that frightening. Neither did venturing into the unknown territory that was the boys' dorms frankly. However the reveal of a skull-headed fellow-adventurer and monsters screaming at the trio turned it up a level. Rather than terror Inori had a big grin on her face as she rushed up the stairs away from their monstrous would-be attackers. That was some pretty awesome makeup that the boy was wearing! Pretty darn nifty!

"Now that was more like it!" Inori exclaimed as she reached the top of the stairs, having not noticed the hanging bodies yet.

She looked up to see them just in time to avoid walking right into the whole mess. At first she actually was a bit surprised and shocked to see that sort of thing playing out in front of her. Then she reasoned that these were just fellow students with makeup and some kind of stagecraft behind their 'hanging' position. Pretty good makeup just like the skull guy downstairs - whoever was responsible for this part of the 'hauntings' knew their stuff! The brunette looked back to the other two students and motioned ahead.

"Well, we've only got one way to go anyway, so let's strike forth! This is gettin' good now, isn't it?" she said as she started to step forward. The younger Todo sibling reached up to nudge one of the 'bodies' to the side, "If you'll excuse us, we've gotta get upstairs." And with that she moved forward again as if she weren't walking through a hallway filled with hanging bodies. Pretty neat so far!

"hehehe foolish girl." Inori would hear whispered.
"She doesn't know." another whisper.
"none of them know." a third whisper.

As the students walked through, lightly pushing the hanging bodies of the way the whispers steadily grew more and more. Yet every time they would look at one of the hanging bodies the whispers would come from somewhere they weren't looking. With the number of bodies and how heavy they happened to be it would take the students a few minutes to push through them all. However, as the three finally made it past the hanging bodies suddenly the entire hall was filled with strobe lights as all of the hanging bodies began rapidly moving from side to side and screaming at the top of their lungs. Between the screaming and strobe lights it was hard to maintain concentration, and to even be aware of what was around them until suddenly the entire hallway went pitch black.

The screaming instantly stopped. As the lights slowly came back on all of the bodies had vanished! Not a single person was scene nor heard leaving. It was like the bodies never exists in the first place. Did they really exist? The ceiling didn't even have holes or dips in it.

Now the students had to move on to the third floor. The third floor, oddly enough, seemed completely normal. They had made it to the third floor as ordered and in the distance they could see one of the doors was gold and glowing. Now all they had to do was open it.

Hanging bodies were no deterrent to the quite excited younger Todo student. Sure it would've been less creepy if the bodies had screamed a bit less. This was the sort of event, though, that called for creepy things and ghastly visuals to catch you off guard. As she slowly made her way through the bodies at the head of their group she took note of any particular makeup jobs she felt were noteworthy. Obviously the visual effects artists would appreciate feedback on their work! Even with her enthusiasm Inori too was becoming disoriented by the screaming and strobe lights that had been paired to a fever pitch.

"It's... a little too much.." she admitted as she tried her best to forge ahead anyway. Then everything went dark.

Something was afoot and Inori stopped dead in her tracks, holding a hand up to indicate the others should do so as well. Even if they couldn't actually see what she was doing because.. well, it was dark. She momentarily wondered if that was it - just a hall of screaming bodies and light suddenly flashing in and out to make vision difficult even when possible. As the lights came back up she blinked in surprise to find all those bodies were gone.. that was a pretty neat trick! Had they been there at all though? Hm.. Inori actually shivered a little as she forged ahead again, up to the third floor.

"Perhaps the scariest thing yet.. it's.. a normal boys' dorm," Inori mentioned as they found themselves in a painfully normal hallway. But there was that door at the end.. glowing. Something was there, waiting for them!

"All right ladies, we've come this far! Let's finish the job!" she announced excitedly as she picked up the pace and set out for the door itself. Maybe there was a prize there for completing the trip! After all they'd seen a glowy type light from the upstairs before, maybe this was the source!

Katayama, Masato had a long night. The normally quite social bookworm had finally made it home after a long night as the other students decided to enjoy the night out on the campus. While he had taken part in some of the pranks and scares earlier in the evening that had now wrapped up and he was, fortunately, back in his dorm. With make up still on his face from pretending to be an undead ghoul earlier in the evening he set about taking a well deserved hot shower to clean himself.

He was unable to hear any of the screams from the second floor as he carefully took off the make up and groomed himself. The shower didn't take long, but the hot water certainly felt good after the long, cold evening. Coming out of the shower in just his boxers, with a bath towel around them, he realized he hadn't put his new hand cream in the bathroom yet. Thus, walking from his dorm's bathroom to his bed the only slightly dressed Masato suddenly froze mid walk as the door to his room suddenly flew open.

Their, in the hall, three young women, and one, mostly, naked third year made eye contact. In that moment an extremely red faced, embarrassed, and completely caught off guard Masato let out the loudest scream of the night.

This was going to be it - the ultimate secret of the haunted boys' dorms! After all the hanging bodies, ghostly voices and other special effects she'd seen before Inori was prepared for anything. There might be some sort of monster, demon or even extra-dimensional being hiding behind that door. Goodness, the glowing light behind the door might be another realm all together. Perhaps on this night the veil between their world and a spiritual realm was at its thinnest! Whatever was coming through that door she was prepared, or so she thought.

Inori braced herself when the door opened, preparing to either laugh or flee accordingly with whatever was behind it. What she wasn't prepared for at all was something completely mundane and not spooky at all. Yet out stepped an older boy in only his boxer shorts, in front of three girls. At first Inori just stared in surprise at Masato.. then her own face got pretty red as she locked eyes with him. A boy.. no shirt.. just out of the shower. Equally caught off guard she did something very similar to the poor guy they'd stumbled upon. Todo Inori, proud warrior of her clan, screamed back out of anxiety and shock. And fled down the hall a bit - maybe those hanging bodies weren't such bad company after all!
