Toshima ward is a vast ward in Northern Edo. The primary purpose of the ward is shopping. The ward itself is a mix between old and new shops due to having both the Ikebukuro district and Sugamo Jiz-Dori district.
Ikebukuro: A large part of Northern Edo's Toshima Ward. Ikebukuro contains a large selection of electronics and anime, and a very modern design. It is meant to bring in a lot of money from the younger generations. It also contains the Sunshine City area.
Sunshine City: A large, mostly underground shopping center in Ikebukuro. Sunshine City is a major tourist attraction for foreigners visiting Edo and the Shogunate has pumped a lot of funds into the area to increase tourism to Edo. The area contains a large aquarium as well as a fairly modern planetarium built with the help of the Kuroda clan and the Dutch envoys from Southern Edo.
Sugamo Jizo-Dori: A classic shopping center and stark contract to Ikebukuro. Many of the shops are in the traditional style and this road sells good such as lanterns, fireworks, paper and ink, old books, and other such items. This area of Toshima also contains two very popular places.
Kimono Me: A very popular store among tourists as well as the women of Edo. Kimono me has hundreds of beautiful, and very expensive, kimonos for all ages and sizes. The store also contains multiple backdrops you can choose to take photos in front of. For a small fee they will even take you somewhere in Edo if you want a more realistic looking photo taken.
Edo Arts and Crafts Museum: A large museum in Northern Edo. This museum has classic architectural design as well as multiple weapons, pottery pieces, wood crafts, fans, etc. and is a great place for any crafting student to visit. Many of the pieces have been donated from the Kono clan as a sign of cooperation with the Shogunate and in hopes of a bright future for the city of Edo.
