Sengoku Horizon

Look towards the Horizon

The Warring States Period: Fierce warlords fought for control of Japan, and many would perish. When a warrior falls, where does the passion they once held go? Possibly into something dear such as a favorite weapon or heirloom. These heirlooms have been labeled as “relics”, and those that carry them are labeled as “Scions." Recently more and more of these special relics have been activating, signaling the start of a great change as ancient power meets the modern world!

Now For The Local News, 06/01/2018 The Chinese delegation have now arrived at the city of Edo. Making friends and learning about Edo Culture is their current aim! In other news it is also time for the school dance event! Please bring your characters along!

“None,” Suishoku answered as well, having observed enough of the play. Now all what really seemed to be on the agenda was for how other students will do after having their emotions prodded at. Most here besides the teacher would have guessed it would going to turn into a therapy session so emotionals did run the gambit of defensive and anger. The school had its few councilors but easing the pain with peers would assist greatly than dealing with a backlog of appointments.

Feeling this is at her limit of being openly nice about the topic, having chatted with Roshi some weeks ago, she got up and held her slightly bent playbook. “None at all.” Suishoku hoped to rather leave than be stuck here because the teacher wanted to drag everyone and leave them hanging. Her hold on the book didn’t hide how much she wanted to hit the teacher. Her words thanked him for the play and explaining it but not him dragged two clubs for this mess then walking off like a villain.

“But I don’t think most of us here don’t have the luxury of spending over class time talking things out. Everything outside of this room isn’t going to wait on us.”

Kitsu would be sure to take a copy of one of the books. He did enjoy plays of the old days, but this one seemed like it may not be his type of performance. He needed to be excused to an urgent matter involving some of his territory, and wouldn't hang around to chat, determined to leave as soon as he was dismissed.

They were all asked if they had any last questions, but Kitsu was too worried with another text he received from a scout of his than with the class. He finally realized that a question was asked about the class, and he replied with a simple, "I have no questions, thank you for the lesson."

The teacher looked at the students, especially Suishoku. Some seemed concerned, some seemed upset. Some seemed to have a lot on their mind now while others seemed to completely ignore the class all together and focus on chatting with friends about things other than Atsumori itself. However, both clubs certainly seemed to be chatting with one another about all sorts of matters. It was something the teacher felt was lost on today's youth. In ancient times public forums had been common place. Large groups of people meeting in a small area to mingle and discuss the topics of the day.

He also sincerely hoped this would make the students bring up and deal with some of their left over emotions from the Ikko incident. The problem with many of Edo Bugei's students was that they tried to maintain their social status and ranks by acting far too guarded. Experiencing true war was something no one could leave inside of themselves to fester. Even the faculty had gotten together after the battles to discuss everything on more than one occasion.

"I hope you all take care. As for the outside world, I agree it won't wait. However, I think you all can certainly wait for it here." he said to Suishoku. He couldn't do it always, but at least at this particular moment he could swear that Edo Bugei was safe and that the students could talk about war without being thrown into another right away. Even if he had to fight off another Ikko Army alone, he would do his best to keep it that way.
