The Warring States Period: Fierce warlords fought for control of Japan, and many would perish. When a warrior falls, where does the passion they once held go? Possibly into something dear such as a favorite weapon or heirloom. These heirlooms have been labeled as “relics”, and those that carry them are labeled as “Scions." Recently more and more of these special relics have been activating, signaling the start of a great change as ancient power meets the modern world!

Now For The Local News, 11/01/2017 The dust has cleared after a fierce clash against the rebel Ikko Ikki monks. Now, as a tense period of calm spread over the island nation of Japan the students of Edo Bugei must figure out how to proceed in life after experience such intense conflicts and such deep loss.

~Breaking News~

A New School Year: After spending the summer helping to re-build the cities damaged by the Ikko Ikki, the students of Edo Bugei academy have returned to their school.

Winter Has Come: The winter season is now upon us. Everyone remember to stay healthy. Stay warm, wear a mask if you are sick or work around sick people. Young children should also make sure to get vaccines and shops should make sure to re-supply.

~World News~

Canada: As a crown colony Canada recently welcomed England's ruler for a brief visit. The king and his accompaniment had been well received and given a full banquet. The King was quoted as praising the Northern Land and saying how great it was to have such a colony and close friend.

India Recovers: After the most recent monsoon season India, a sub-continent with heavy ties to England, has managed a full recovery of it's factories. Many worried that after the latest batch of monsoon the country wouldn't be able to recover for quite some time due to all of the flooding.

~Japan News~

Ikki Pockets: After the massive Ikko attack upon the city of Edo and various provincial capitals various Daimyo through out the country have used ninja and samurai forces alike to hunt down clusters of rebel monks and exterminate them. The Shogunate has deemed the operation a great success.

Railway Improvements: Looking at the state of the country and it's transportation systems the Kuroda clan has sent a series of suggestions to the Shogunate about improvements that could be made to the railway systems that criss cross Japan. The idea is to make it easier to transport troops, and due to the winter season supplies, through out the country.

~Edo News~

Visitors From Afar: In an act of good will and to promote cooperation through out Asia the Emperor of China will be sending a group of students from China to Edo for the spring and summer seasons. According to Chinese officials, after the Ikko uprising it is clear that Japan is not at it's strongest and the Emperor of China has declared that it will provide forces both to aid Edo Bugei's students in training, but also to prevent foreign lands from getting any impure thoughts towards Japan's weakened state.

Edo Bugei Dance: In order to welcome the Chinese delegation Edo Bugei will be hosting a large, formal dance and festival. The leader of the Chinese delegation has said that he and his students welcome the event and feel that it is a brilliant way to cultivate cross country cooperation.

Edo Bugei Tournament: In an act of good will and to help provide more training to the students of Edo a tournament will be held between Chinese and Japanese students. Both Scions and Traditional Students will take part in the public display tournament.

Shinagawa Ward is considered one of the most relaxing spots in Edo. Due to it's beautiful beaches and low population it is easy to come here to get away from the rest of life in the massive city.

Kashiyama Shrine: An ancient shrine dedicated to the gods of martial arts. Marital arts tournament often take place here and various groups from Kendo teams to Sumo wrestlers come here to pray to the god Takemikazuchi before large matches.

Shinagawa Park: A beautiful park and well lit aquarium in Southern Edo. It is both a place for reflection and a wonderful place to take children. Couples can often be seen coming here for dates in the summer.

Ota Ward is a large ward in Southern Edo. This ward is considered the primary living area for foreigners in Japan. Not only does it contain most of the embasies to Japan but also a very large foreign population. Many foreign and domestic trading companies have headquarters and own ports in this area.

Bourbon Road, Kamata: a long road full of nightlife in Ota Ward. You can get many types of chicken and shrimp in restaurants here as well as mingle with plenty of foreigners.

Haneda International Airport: A massive shopping mall rests under a large glass and steel dome. Just outside this dome sits multiple air strips and one of Japan's few airports. The massive airplanes haul all kinds of luggage around the world as well as foreign VIPs and wealthy tourists.

Ota Market: A huge fish, fruit, and flower market in Ota Ward. Merchants from all over Edo gather here bright and early in the morning to get all the best ingredients and trade deals.

Meguro ward is a small area in Southern Edo. This area is the gateway to Edo's foreigners controlled southern district and acts as a gateway between Eastern and Western cultures. Japanese restaurants cook with foreign spices and Japanese and European architecture stand side by side in this area.

Aoki Konyo's Tomb: The tomb of one of Japan's most famous scholars. Not only was he well versed in Eastern and Western sciences, but also in classical arts. Konyo's goal was to grow sweet potatoes in Northern Japan, in spite of everyone saying the climate in the Kanto was too cold for such a thing. He helped produce many plant strains still enjoyed in Japan today.

Himonya Catholic Church: One of the only Catholic churches in all of Japan. This beautiful Catholic church was allowed by the Shogunate as a good will towards Spanish merchants. While the Shogunate refuses to use government religious funding to maintain the site, it has also put strict laws into place against violating the sacred site and is believed to often have at least one Iga ninja in attendance during services.

Hotel Gajoen: A beautiful, lavish hotel complex and easily a world unto itself. It houses a long, 100 step staircase with seven floors. Each floor contains a different art exhibit from a local artist. The hotel is also said to buy it's sake directly from East Edo's merchants every morning as soon as they are able to get it and never re-use any bottle the next day.

Jiyugaoka La Vida: A beautiful European style shopping center complete with gondola rides around the canals of the area. A peaceful place with amazing foreign restaurants and a great place to experienc foreign culture. Many people say they feel as though they are visiting Venice.

Adachi Ward is considered the most cheerful ward in all of Edo. Adachi ward has multiple schools, candy shops, cafes, music stores, and in the very far north a strong agricultural community. It is a great place to spend a day off and relax, or to go and learn more about the common people of Edo. Many famous citizens also come from this ward and multiple talent agencies regularly do scouting in this ward because of it.

Adachi Agricultural Park: A massive park area maintained by the Aanegakoji clan. This area has wild grasses and beautiful flowers from all over Japan all brought to Edo and very well maintained. They also sell various rare plants and herbs.

Adachi Hisorical Museum: A large museum devoted to Japanese history. It is a fairly quiet place most of the time but contains many items rumored to be relics, as well as information on every major and minor clan in Japanese history. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable.

Adachi Park of Living Things: A zoo located in Adachi Ward. It is extremely interactive and has fish you can play with, kittens, butterflies, and many types of interactive art pieces and exhibits. It also contains various reptiles.
