The train smoothly sailed down the railways passing the country side westbound from Edo. The country slowly turned into orange and reddish hues as the fall ended and gradually started showing signs of frost and light snowfall around the mountainous areas. The country gained its rustic charms that seemed to have made the environment as eye catching as it could be. The far off trees slowly went by in a scrolling scenery while the students within the cabin were as warm as they could be and dressed to be. Today was when they all embarked away from Edo for Kaga.

They all were informed to gather at the station mid-morning for light breakfast samples by whatever means each person felt. From there it was aboard the train. Their first stop would be near the outer edges of Kaga's boarders to a bridge park. A short bus ride would take them to the starting point of Ayatorihashi.

The red bridge stood out but didn't look so bulky and out of place with beams that crossed in triangular ways like a game of cat's cradle. A local tea house rests nearby for viewing of the river under the shade of red parasols to designate viewing terrace areas. Also nearby was some local onsen such as the Yamanaka Onsen but due to their travel party size, and stopping here early in the day, wouldn't grant them much time or reservations for a stay. Another location was put in mind.

After disembarking the bus, Suishoku cleared her throat nervously as she explained to their group of why they weren't exactly hearing straight to the castle town but instead opted to take a detour.

"First, I'd like to thank everyone for having the time to come with us. Although it will be for a short time, we hope to show as much as we can of our home Kaga in thanks for defending her and being our friends," Suishoku opened up donning a long light tan winter coat that reached to her knees covering warm leggings and basic ankle boots. At her side was her school duffel bag as her usual traveling 'purse' once all the school clutter was gutted out of it. "This is a location Yumiko here, your co-trip adviser, highly recommended. If you don't mind adding expressing your thoughts as well," she motioned to Yumiko as if handing an invisible microphone to the girl. This area was a highly recommended place that Suishoku wished to honor as well as leaving it for them to share their reasoning in a far more poetic fashion than Suishoku could muster on the spot.

Now, to be fair, getting up had always been umm...problematic, at times, for Roshi Bento. If he doesn't wanna get up, he's unreachable, even if you feed him his favorite coffee-milk and a ton of sugar. Such is the life of one who overexerts himself in the name of art. That said, he had managed to get up in time and get here in a...zombie-like daze. The 24/7 shop that was mentioned had received his business in the form of him muttering "Brains..." at them, by way of conversation and inquiry.

It had taken effort.

But Roshi was here, and he had made it onto the train on time, because he liked where he was going and what he was doing once he got there. the only question that remained was this: Roshi Bento was eating out of a bento box. Was this considered a form of canniballism? He wasn't awake enough to consider the connotations right now. He was just getting energy into the furnace that was his stomach so he could make his brain work. 'Brains', you see? Brains...

This wasn't his first rodeo train trip.

It wasn't even his first trip with Suishoku, but on both counts, this was going to be a helluva lot more pleasant for the both of them. First, they were going to her hometown, and second...no Fish Mafia. That little debacle was something the two of them had hopefully gotten over, as it was both dangerous and ridiculous in nature. Anyway...they had a calm and relaxing train ride, then transferred to a bus, and finally...they were here.

Where?

Here.

That doesn't help.

Ayatorihashi. Read the sign, dammit.

*Sigh*

Moving on! The reason they weren't going directly into the heart of Kaga Prefecture was because Suishoku wanted to show it off a little. Roshi was a natural sight-seer by heart. He had a camera, even. Like any young Japanese person would be without one! This whole thing had been organized by both Suishoku AND Yumiko, and appearently it was the latter's idea to come here. The young poet was also known to Roshi, a kinder soul who had a true mastery of words. He waited to hear what Yumiko had to say.

Today was the day. It seemed like an age since the original invites had gone out and truth be told with everything that was going on Mirai had almost forgotten it was even taking place. But after the latest update message, Mirai was pumped for it. A bit of a trip was exciting enough but doubly so in this case because it wasn’t tied to anything the school was doing - it was just some friends out doing things on their own, and that felt more adventurous to Mirai.

She made sure to dress warmly for the trip. She wasn’t sure exactly how cold it would be in Kaga and didn’t want to risk not bringing enough to keep her warm. She could always remove a layer or two later if she needed to, anyway. She also had a backpack with her with a few odds and ends for the journey, as well as some extra space in case she needed it to carry anything.

Mirai left for the station a little earlier than she needed to leave spare time to get something for breakfast along the way. Preparing her own breakfast before she left would have meant she would need to rise even earlier; in theory, Mirai wasn’t necessarily against that but she'd been feeling pretty tired lately and something that would let her sleep in just a few moments longer wasn’t going to be complained about.

It was a train ride - it felt like Mirai had been on a few of those lately - and then a bus ride, and then they disembarked, at some point of interest or other. It seemed like a fairly pretty place they’d stopped at, what with that elegant red bridge and the lovely scenery.

Mirai looked at Yumiko as Suishoku introduced her as the one who’d selected this place in particular to visit. It would be nice to hear what was special about this place in particular; Mirai didn’t know where they were precisely, and hearing a bit more about where they were and what they would be doing there would be nice.

At long last the planned trip to Kaga was on its way, with a good handful of Edo Bugei students en route via train. Eriko had been invited fairly early on in the planning process and hadn't heard much about its progress afterward. She too had wondered if it'd ever get off the ground. Then at last she'd gotten the notice that they were indeed going to go on the trip for rest and relaxation. Back home she would've recommended a nice mountain hike or a local onsen for that sort of purpose. Maybe they'd have something just as nice here - she was just happy to have been invited along.

It had taken a little bit of time to convince herself it was okay to go. Kenji had been hurt seriously during the last battles, but she had since seen him and learned that he was in stable condition. Convincing other people that it was safe for her to leave Edo took some doing as well. However once she'd pointed out that there were many students going, and that she as an Elite was capable of handling herself should trouble arise, they'd relented. Her packing for the trip had mirrored what she'd have done for a vacation-like trip back home. Clothes that were both comfortable and durable took precedence. A few other things like a pillow, various toiletries and a couple of Heian period themed romance novels for entertainment had been packed away as well.

Not far from the at times sleeping Eriko had sat a student who was incredibly anxious about this whole thing. "Mikoto" had been invited by Suishoku, whom they considered a friend after hanging out on an otherwise bad day. At the time accepting the invitation had seemed like a no-brainer. Going together with a few people on a trip might lead to more friends! And some quality Mikoto time did sound like a nice break from classwork and other stresses. What the Todo student dressed in a girls' uniform with their hair down in all its girlishness hadn't realized was who was on the invite list.

Packing some clothes that Junko had lent them, as well as some goods that Inori had personally recommended, all had seemed well and good. Then on the train the shock of blonde hair confirmed that none other than the Azai heir was on this trip as well. Shinsuke's childhood friend.. who had no idea about this whole Mikoto business. It was too late to back out of the trip now, though! Stuck with exclusively girls' things in their bags and a friend of Shisnuke's on the trip, 'Mikoto' had to think fast. So it was that for most of the trip they'd worn a face mask like the ones people wore when they were/might become sick. Until a better solution presented itself, this was how they'd try to disguise themselves.

Once they'd arrived Suishoku asked Yumiko to have a few words. Eriko stood there in her track suit bearing the Yamana clan mon on the left breast, eagerly awaiting the beginning of the venture. Though she wasn't responsible for the planning of this trip she did at least feel compelled to offer leadership. If anyone needed help with something she'd be sure to take the initiative! 'Mikoto', meanwhile, stood near the back of the group with the mask off. Mostly because wearing it created a stiflingly stagnant environment through which to breathe in and out. Hopefully the Azai boy wouldn't spot them.. or there'd be a lot of awkward questions to be asked.

Kire didn't regret agreeing to go on this trip, per se. He was just full of reservations. Which was, admittedly, not unusual for the guy. He was ok with getting up early, and he'd put up with the cold. At least he was prepared with his thick coat and two sweaters over his shirt, mittens, thick grey woolen cap, boots, and thermals under his pants. Even still, he expected that he would be cold before all this was said and done. No, his real apprehension was that he felt out of place. Sure, he'd accepted the trip but now that he was here, he didn't know why.

Mostly he didn't know most of these people, even their hostess. Sure he'd fought with her, kind of. Mostly they'd just been in the same area when he'd fought the giant fat guy. It wasn't as if that was the basis for a long and happy friendship. Nobu was here too, Kire vaguely wondered if he was still as clan happy as he had been back when they did the spelunking mission for the school Talk about cold, but that wasn't really friendship either. Apart from that, he didn't recognize any of the other girls or guys here.

Mostly he stuck near the back end of things and kept quiet. On the train ride, he took the opportunity to catch up on sleep. The bus was slightly less relaxing so he just took his sunglasses off and turned to look at the featureless blur of color as the world passed by. Well, this was better than being alone, to some degree. Maybe that's why he'd agreed to it.

His girlfriend of several months had broken up with him a few days prior and he was...well, he wasn't broken up about it. But things felt emptier without her. It was his own fault really, he hadn't kept up with her after the attack. Hadn't checked in on her, hadn't done anything. His excuse was he lost his phone but to be honest, he'd forgotten entirely. His mind filled with other things. She'd been pissed and he'd realized that it just wasn't meant to be. But now that she was gone, thoughts of her kept creeping back into his mind. A trip with people from school had seemed like a good distraction but now...maybe it wasn't.

He put his glasses on when they stopped and acted suitable impressed with the sights. There was certainly a lot of history around. Admittedly, he kind of hoped they might stop by some esteemed smithing workshop where he could sidle off to enjoy the warmth of the forge and watch a master at work. Instead, well, the onsen might have been fantastic if they had actually been staying there. Nothing like hot water to perfectly heat you up all over. Even the forge tended to heat you more on one side than the other.

Oh well, once they got to where they were staying, maybe he could build up the emotional energy to meet all these new people, and meet Suishoku properly. For now, well, he'd haul his backpack around and listen to what everyone else had to say.

Kaga Domain, a land in the cold North of Japan. A place that Yumiko had called home since she was little and a place that Azai Nobuyori knew as Suishoku's home and a place he had risked his very life to defend against the Ikko Ikki monks that had tried to destroy it, literally at the cost of their own lives to do so.

The morning they had gotten on the train Nobuyori was dressed in a light blue sweater with a golden Azai seal on the back and a gray and white scarf wrapped around himself with golden Azai clan seals at both ends. His pants and shoes weren't as spectacular but still looked nice. His hair was perfectly groomed due to how many people he would be around today. As future lord of Omi he had no intention of shaming himself.

Meanwhile Yumiko had dressed in lovely winter clothes. She had on a black wool sweater with its own cape and two puff balls dangling from the front, as well as a cat black hat sweater cap to keep her small head warm. Her black her and large eyes seemed to reflect the scenery outside.

As they moved from Edo to Kaga Nobuyori looked at the scenery outside while Yumiko finalized plans with Suishoku. It was nice to ride through domains without fear of getting attacked, and knowing that, for the most part, Japan was secure for now. It wouldn't feel like a long ride, and before they knew it they had arrived at a train station. Getting on a small bus they approached a large park below a beautiful, purple and pink colored bridge. Nobuyori was quick to take a few picture as Suishoku looked to Yumiko to explain her choice.

Seeing everyone's eyes on her Yumiko smiled a bit and gave a polite bow.
"Welcome to Ayatorihashi." she said and gave another polite bow. She didn't feel poetry would be right here, so she kept her words as simple as possible.
"Ayatorihashi was designed by a famous school of flower arrangement master. The S shape and rose red color are both very important. The bridge has a beautiful part below it, and is a great place in spring for Cherry Blossoms, and in fall for all of the different colored trees you can see from the bridge. The river below us is Daishoji river!" and with that she turned more red and bowed again. The poet girl had clearly become quite strong over the past year, in her own right.

Even Nobuyori gave a small clap and smiled at Yumiko. She was clearly different from the quiet poet that use to always be in the shadow of Kajiwara Masumi. While Nobuyori still didn't feel he knew Yumiko very well, he had certainly heard all about her depression and recovery from Suishoku.

Kai didn't have many normal clothes. However, he felt that the occasion better suited something of the more casual nature. Kai pulled out some of his more Trendy and warm clothes after all it was become colder as the season progress. He pulled out a black long sleeved shirt, a grey semi tench coat, and a long black scarf. He pulled on Black leather gloves and made his way out of his apartment and headed to the appointed meeting area. Kai wasn't sure how he felt about going. He'd signed up for it in the heat of the moment. However, this would also be the first time a few of the other people would see him.. glowing red eye and all. He'd considered wearing a eyepatch but.. had decided against it.

He was in truth excited to see Eriko, Suishoku, Roshi, and of course Yumiko. He got in his black car and pulled out of the parking lot. He arrived at the Train station. He met up with the group but avoided eye contact with most of them apart from Yumiko whom he kept a close eye on. He adjusted his hair to cover his newly glowing eye, but sadly a small hint of red still shined through. He moved into the train and sat down quietly looking out at Japan as the land passed by.

Winter was coming, he could see it in the color of the trees as the passed by. He let out a sigh. Time had passed so quickly. He looked back at the group of students. After all that had happened everyone was back to normal. Well mostly normal. Regular school life would be picking up again anytime now.

He got up when the train stopped and moved over to the bus that they would take to the final destination. It was a short journey as Kai soon found himself leaving the bus and entering the slightly nippy air. He looked to make sure Yumiko was warm enough and then adjusted his scarf his as his breath makes small clouds of mist. He hated the cold, He hated winter all together, spring was his season.. all that lovely rain and grey skies washing clean the land for summer.

Once he disembarked from the bus with the others he looked around the area. It felt like he was looking at a tourist post card. Cute Tea house, pretty bridge, peaceful tranquil. He turned as Suishoku began to talk. His red eye softened a bit as it rested on her. He pondered if she had anything to do with his eye color change. He reached up at the thought but caught himself his hand dropping to his side as Suishoku turned the conversation over to Yumiko.

He watched her as she spoke his eyes softening even more as a small smile crossed his face behind his scarf. It was good to see her like this, she was okay. Even after all that had happened Yumiko was alright. He clapped as Yumiko finished talking and made his way up to her. "Prehaps you should part time as a tour guide?" He said softly to his friend.

The small group ahead of them had the sort of looks Suishoku at least expected for coming this far from the school; a bit tired and a bit cold but in good spirits. She nodded patiently with Yumiko's words as her eyes wandered the students. The people she knew looked thrilled while those less acquainted like that tell fellow who helped with the Southern Ikko problem. After Yumiko explained a bit more of the surrounding area, Suishoku bowed then clapped her hands together once to keep them warm. "As eloquently said by our bl-rilliant guide," she giggled with warm smile directed at her poetic friend while making a last second switch of blushing to brilliant, "this area is widely visited for the scenic views all year round. The model of the bridge, despite it's odd design and vibrant coloring, ends up complimenting the surrounds artistically."

"We'll be spending a brief time here in the area before we head back to the station to catch the direct line from here to our main city in Kaga. Please enjoy this as a nature walk and warm yourself to the local tea house near the river. When we've all gathered at the tea house below, we'll make our way back to the bus to resume our travels into the main city." Her hand then motioned toward the very same tea house mentioned by its white smoke trail from the top. Right below the bridge were the indicative red parasols and viewing platforms near by the river side.

On that note the group was free to walk the park and bridge area, take photos, and talk to whoever they felt to or get to know their fellow travelers for this day trip. As Suishoku turned away to take her own easy paced stroll across the bridge, the sign marking the hot springs made her pause. In a smooth turn on the heel of her boot, she raised her arm as high as she could to get one last memo out to the others.

"Oh! One last thing, our time is short so please avoid extended detours to the local hot spring inns." Having said this, even if some people did wander away, hopefully they would be smart enough to come back in time or else it would be a small haggling with the dorm teachers on a delayed return of schedule. Thinking that about covers it and everyone is a military student that doesn't require a level of Shogunate ninja surveillance to watch over, and taking idea and putting it away into the mental trash bin. Wouldn't do good to mention ninjas with Roshi here. While she didn't have a direct mind of who to hang out with, as being a guide would have to have her interactions be non-biased, Suishoku did want to try going out of her way to talk with each person throughout their trip. In kind, she hoped that the others would do the same toward Yumiko as this would be the girl's first large endeavor with people that wasn't so mission based or class confined.

She started on her way down the trail toward the bridge in light strides toward the bridge to start the long hike, hands behind her back in no hurry at all down the winding path. This too would be her first time here at Ayatorihashi so she too would like to take some time making memories of the orange and red trees around them and the light frost that covered every surface from the trees to the bridge.

(Replies here will be grouped to move in progression because it is a tour. If you want to have a side thread on a different pace, go ahead, but a return post is required unless you want to be dully npc-ed the rest of the way.

This also will follow the event thread style of there being zero turn order. If your entry hinges on someone else, please make a timely answer)

With all eyes and ears on Yumiko as she addressed everybody else, Roshi was actually...transfixed by her choice of hat. It seemed so familiar... Ah well, it was probably nothing. A girl can wear whatever hat she likes, right? Besides, it complemented her, somehow. Surprisingly, the masterful poet was...speaking plainly now. Perhaps because she was in speech mode? At any rate, she welcome them to this place, and welcomed them well, describing their surroundings and ending with a polite bow. Nobu clapped for her. So had Kai. Roshi joined in with a smile of approval.

He had no way of knowing exactly why, only the vague notion that things bothered her, much like her apparently lonelyness, which had been clear from their first meeting. That's why Roshi considered her a friend. If she needed something that an over-enthusiastic artist with a penchant for performing and a flair for the dramatics could provide...he'd be there for her. Suishoku continued on herself to explain that they were stopping here to take in the scenery for a while and whatever the area had to offer. Well, not the hot spring. That was understandable, of course. Since they were only taking a break before they got on the next train, time was on a budget.

It was a good idea, letting them all hang out in this splendor. Several of Roshi's known friends were here, after all. Hell, even Kai, who- Eh? What's with the eyes? When did that happen? Roshi had been on his way to speak with Yumiko when he noticed it out of the corner of his eye. It was impossible to miss at close range, while being half a foot shorter than Kai. Since Kai wasn't acting out of the ordinary, though, the young artist figured it could wait, and instead addressed the girl with the cat-hat instead.

"We don't speak often,
That should really change, you know,
How are you, today?"

Remember that Roshi not only rose to the challenge of Haiku conversation with Yumiko, but he enjoyed it. Indeed, he had on one of those sage old-wise-man looks with a smile, though he was in winter gear like everyone else. He wouldn't mind having a look around the place with these two, so they could maybe catch up a bit. Spending time with anybody on his friend list was part of the plan, but you start with the ones you see the least. It's only fair.

The trip was off to a surprisingly good start, and Yumiko seemed different that what Eriko had seen before. Perhaps a little more confident than she'd been? They'd only crossed paths a couple of times, so it was difficult for the Yamana girl to really tell for sure. Whatever the case she was pleased that such a large group of people had a chance to enjoy some leisure time after all that had happened. As soon as they were told that they had free time before the tour continued, she started to gravitate toward the people she knew. Specifically she thought that she ought to say hello to Kai at least, since they were both at the upper echelon of Bugei.

He was speaking to the poet girl, whom Eriko also thought it would be nice to meet formally. Well, more officially than formally. As she approached the growing group around Yumiko she hoped this wasn't too much at once. Last thing you wanted to do was overwhelm the poor girl after a presentation like that. Off-handedly Eriko wondered if anyone here knew her beyond Suishoku and Kai, or if more people would recognize her as 'the Tokugawa Prince's girlfriend'. Such a thought made her frown, so she pushed it away and focused on the present.

"That was a very nice speech," she complimented Yumiko before smiling and bowing, "I hope you'll be willing to share your other insights into this area as the tour continues."

Meanwhile "Mikoto" was letting out a sigh of relief at what was going down. With the formalities going on around them it was likely no one had even paid much attention to the spare Todo student on the trip. Time was there for "Mikoto" to at least try and strategize a bit before things got too out of control. They hadn't brought any boys' clothes along, so unless they borrowed some from someone this was going to be a girl trip. But that also meant rooming with a girl didn't it? Great care was going to have to be taken to maintain secrecy during this trip to avoid arousing suspicion. Especially suspicion from Nobuyori who might recognize their looks and voice.

So when the group broke up for some free time "Mikoto" tailed Suishoku. The only person on the trip who knew them in this form, and therefore possibly the best person to be around for the moment. At least until they'd had a chance to survey the lay of the land as it were. It was across the bridge and down the path for "Mikoto", who started noticing how lovely the area was this time of year. Wonderful scenery, and much different from what Kyushu had to offer at this time of year.

"Suishoku-san!" they called out, waving a little as a courtesy, "Long time no see, eh? Do you mind if I tag along with you for now? I don't really know anyone else in the group.."

Mirai did think it was something of a shame that they’d miss spending time in the hot springs - it would be so relaxing to get a chance to soak and warm up after having a bit of a walk around the place to see the sights, but then again the nature walk did sound lovely enough on its own, especially when it had been specially designed by some master flower arranger or whatever and combined with with a tea house it would be lovelier still.

People seemed to be converging in smaller groups for the walk - like, there seemed to be quite a crowd gathering around the other girl who’d spoken about where they were going. What was her name again? Yumi or something like that. No, wait, Yumiko, that was her name. Part of that crowd was a boy Mirai had never seen before with an eye glowing bright red. What! It was bizarre, and Mirai hoped it was just another strange aspect of a relic power and not something wrong with him.

Aside from Suishoku there were some faces she recognised - Nobuyori and Roshi mainly. Roshi brought back embarrassing memories of that time they went looking for that heartbroken student; it made her blush to even think about it. Yes, she surely owed him at least a hello, how have you been, but there’d be time to do it later, right? Besides, Roshi was over near Yumiko and would probably be already occupied. It wouldn’t do to interrupt, would it?

And to Nobuyori she wasn’t sure what to say. Even though that simple hello, how have you been would likely have been enough, the fact that she hadn’t taken the time to thank him properly for saving her weighed heavy on her mind. So she headed for Suishoku - and maybe she could get to meet the other girl talking to Suishoku already as well, then she'd at least know someone else one the trip.

She made her way over to Suishoku. “Suishoku!” she called as she headed over. She smiled at the other girl too: “Hello!” she said to her, and turned back to Suishoku. “I think you and Yumiko chose a good place to start. I like it here.”

Well there was no time for a visit to the hot springs yet, hopefully they could make time later. This trip was going to be his chance to take a few liberties and explore his freedoms more than the school with its strict curfews and random ninja running about spying on people. Maybe there was a good reason to be the least popular person in the group. That said, it was hard to tell who knew who considering the whole lot of them were starting to collapse into little cells of people.

Oh well, time to pay lip service to the guy he knew best. "Yo, Azai." Kire waved to Nobu and made his way to the noble kid. "Didn't expect to see you here." They hadn't really kept in touch, the occasional get together, maybe seeing each other in the halls, occasionally running into each other in the forge. Kire really was bad about keeping people at arms length as he'd been told quite emphatically very recently. Whatever, he was on this trip to forget about her anyway.

"Played any video game levels in real life lately?" It was a reference to the murder tunnel and trapped hallway they had been forced to navigate during the mission to find a lost artifact. Kire still felt that pang of resentment whenever he ended up in a cave or sewer level in an arcade game. "You got any plans or do you wanna hang out some?" Kire wasn't exactly sure what he'd do if the other boy had somebody else to hang out with. Probably wander off in a corner and dream of some hot volcano or something.

White puffs trailed behind her as she walked along the bridge, looking over the railings and listening to a stray crow somewhere in the sea of red and orange trees. After making that announcement over the onsen being discouraged, she hoped to make it up to them in the later part of the day. She took her phone out and took some scenery pictures to show her parents when some voices called out to her.

“Mikoto, hey!” She waved to the Todo girl. Their energetic appearance eased off any worries she had of them when it came to the aftermath of the last season. She stopped for the girl to catch up to her on the bridge. The confession of not knowing everyone in the group made her chuckle. It was to be expected but maybe that common goal of relaxing could fix that. “Sure, lets catch up a bit and have some tea before taking the bus back.” Suishoku welcomed them and playfully snapped a picture of them and one other coming up behind Mikoto.

“Mirai, glad you made it,” she grinned and slipped the phone back in her jacket pocket for a bit. “Thanks. We plan to show you other places as well but this bridge really is all Yumiko’s idea.” No way was she going to take credit for this. “Kaga is our home and all but I wanted to share with her on places to see to diversify the locations. If it was all me, we’d just eat around or something.” Suishoku laughed as the real truth of being a foodie. Kaga would be mostly a comfort food trip if not for Yumiko’s help to show the more beautiful aspects of home.

“Since we’re all here, and I’m not sure if either of you met before but this here is Mikoto. We met a year ago when we had apartments for awhile but she’s a kind one. Mikoto, this is Mirai. Think we met last spring at the park, right? Mirai here helped with the Kaga mission so a tour of home without distractions seemed like a good thank you idea. Yumiko and I both hope you all have a relaxing fun time on our unofficial tour.”

"Perhaps you should part time as a tour guide?" at Kai's words Yumiko suddenly jumped and turned a bit red in the face, embarrassed. She was so nervous and in her own little world about how well she did, or in her mind did not, and yet here she was getting complimented.
"That was a very nice speech," she complimented Yumiko before smiling and bowing, "I hope you'll be willing to share your other insights into this area as the tour continues." said another one of the students.
"As eloquently said by our bl-rilliant guide," again Yumiko turned even more red and quickly waved her arms around, as though to somehow remove all the chalk off a massive board. She was so red and shy it was hard for her to respond so instead she just politely bowed as Suishoku informed then that they could split up.

As Yumiko did her best to politely vanish she was instead approached by the rest of the group members. Obviously she would need to accept this as one of the two people who arranged the tour. However, it was still hard for her. Fortunately she has Kai and Suishoku with her to help her for moral support.
"We don't speak often,
That should really change, you know,
How are you, today?"

One of the people that approached her was Roshi Bento. A boy Yumiko had met before and was quite kind. Though he had a long history of being a bit odd at times.
"I am well." she said, her face still a bit red but her words sincere. She enjoyed her time with Roshi, and it allowed her to be a bit away from the rest of the group, which she needed after that speech.

Nobuyori smiled at Yumiko as she did her speech before watching everyone break into groups. The bridge the group had been taken too was truly impressive. Of course, he would have prefered if the bridge was a nice blue tint but he certainly didn't object. Right now though he wanted to speak with Suishoku, but she seemed to be quickly overrun by some of the other students asking about the area as Kire suddenly waved at him.
"Yo, Azai." said Kire. Nobuyori waved back, though on his face a brief look of disappointment as he looked over at the rather busy Suishoku.
"Didn't expect to see you here."

Removing the look from his face he focused on the approaching Kire.
"Played any video game levels in real life lately?" at the words Nobuyori shook his head a bit and smirked. He and Kire had certainly had a rough go of things in Kyushu, and Nobuyori really had no intention of repeating that again. To call it rough was accurate but he wished a stronger word existed. Between spiders, almost drowning, arrow traps, and a salt water passage that felt like torture, he was thankful the Shogunate hadn't asked the two boys to go back and recover everything else in the tunnels too.
"Fortunately, no." he said as he then thought of playing his favorite video game Mecha Vice. Something that he likely couldn't do here with all these other students around. He didn't like being extremely open with his video game habits after all.
You got any plans or do you wanna hang out some?"

Nobuyori was a bit taken back. It made sense though, he knew Kire was kind of a shut in when it came to social things. He was nice though, even if he was a bit hard around the edges. As Nobuyori looked back at the surrounded SUishoku one more time he decided why not. After all Kire and Nobu had both come somewhere for the first time. Why not have fun? Thus he smiled at his sort of friend.
"Sure, it sounds nice." he replied.

Ah. Did it seem like Yumiko was a bit worn out from all that, just now? OR just overwhelmed. It was hard to tell, even though she said she was well. Perhaps she said as such not to make him worry. Those who are into the arts as they were, they didn't exactly come from a hardy sort of group, did they? Not...to Roshi's understanding. Kai, here, is tough as nails. Roshi knew that, firsthand and everything. Still, the young artist nodded to Yumiko.

"I have to agree with Kai. You did that rather well."

With what was expected of the girl in future or even present times, she needed to hear that she was coming along nicely. She should have all the encouragement that she needed, as it was certainly deserved.

"Seems like a while since I've talked to either of you, really. Uhh..."

Okay, he kind of had to ask. Yumiko wouldn't ask, because she wasn't the type who would, but either one of them would be worrying about the boy, given the circumstances. She had to have noticed, same as him. Roshi had to, though, because if something was wrong...well, they were all friends here, right?

"Kai, what happened to your eye? Is it a Scion power thingy or what?"

Only explanation Rosh could think of: Scion 'power thingy'.
