For the most part, Hisashi himself was fairly quiet as he sorted through the filing cabinets in a systematic fashion, figuring if there was some kind of puzzle to be found then he'd just have an easier time brute forcing for a solution. However as he came through some of them, he had to come to a stop as he looked upon Kire after hearing a poof that had made him believe something was set off. Staring into the blue fog for a second, Hisashi felt his eye narrow as he tried to discern the figure within before realizing his comrade had been recolored from the trap. "Hmm. That's going to be a pain to get out, I would imagine." he said simply as he continued looking through, searching through a bit more carefully as he seemed to try keeping aware of the tricks.

Little was he expecting for Kire to trigger yet another, though this time coating himself in the green paint instead. For a moment, he remained completely still as he let the cloud around him dissipate. Then sucking in a light breath, he opened his eye to look down properly at himself. It was certainly seeming like he would need a replacement suit tailored if he allowed the paint to sink in and dry. Slowly exhaling, his hand would quickly move to wipe his face off before smearing the paint onto his dress pants. No sense worrying over it now anyways. His gaze would slowly turn to Kire as he looked for a moment before going to smile slightly. "It appears now I will need to take a nice long bath after this as well." he'd say before going to nonchalantly return to digging through the drawers once more, figuring they'd eventually reach the end a rainbow of colors.

At the moment the switch clicked open, he'd held his breath in anticipation. There could be some kind of scary thing hidden inside just waiting for someone to investigate the projector. Or it could be a clue to their mysterious jewels. Once it was opened for his to see inside, a mix of relief and disappointment washed over him. No hidden jewels, ghosts or clues to either of those things waited for him. Merely the revelation of how the 'books' had been brought to life in a way. After the initial surprise wore off he sat there staring at the filters for a moment as if something more would transpire from doing so. When nothing did he just shrugged and closed up the projector again. No sense in letting a working piece of audio-visual equipment risk damage by improper use.

"Well that was certainly not what I expected," Shinsuke thought aloud, though in the back of his mind he just knew something else scary was going to happen up here.

With that being the case it might not be the best idea to remain by himself. Especially not with a hungry ogress around waiting for them to fail at the assigned task. Plus there didn't seem to be anything left to examine in this area anyhow. Shinsuke decided therefore that linking back up with the others was the best idea for the moment. He tread carefully as he made his way toward where he thought they would be, but he wasn't totally sure where that was.

"Heh.. guys? I guess my luck's pretty rotten tonight. Have you found anything?" he called out, trying not to think of monsters or ghosts lurking in the darkness.

Kire pulled open drawer after drawer. There wasn't an obvious clue, at least, not obvious enough for him to discover it. That was, in and of itself, annoying. He had to be missing something. Opening the B letter drawer was certainly not the right answer. A truth that carried with it a cloud of blue smoke. Kire sighed and pulled off his glasses. He wiped them clean with one of his bandages as he shook his head.

This was frustrating. But he would not be discouraged by such a small thing, he would not fly into a rage. He would be calm. It was important not to be goaded into flying off the handle, that was for the nobles to do and suffer for. He was a craftsman, better than such things. His work took skill and time and effort, not just being born under a lucky sign. Kire put his glasses back on and moved on to the next shelf. Speaking of nobles, it sounded like theirs had not made much progress either. "Extra traps and a riddleless riddle." he shouted back.

As Kire started at the top of the alphabet and Hisashi at the bottom the boys would uncover one trap after another. With opening "C" a spirit cat suddenly jumped at Kire's face with a loud screech before vanishing. D, the word "drowned" appeared and sprayed water at them. Meanwhile Hisashi chose "R" as red dye sprayed all over him.

While the boys kept getting hit by spirit animals and colored dyes Shinsuke appeared asking about their progress. As Kire seemed to curse the situation it would be then that something shone in the very back of the A drawer he had pulled out under "Azure". It would in fact be a gem similar in size to the red one they had received earlier! The gem was beautiful and appeared to be the last one the group needed to complete the night's adventure!

Kire flinched at the cat and then it was gone. He squeezed his hands together and then released them as he breathed out slowly. What a pain in the ass. He opened up the next one and ended up soaked in water. His temper flared and he punched a locker hard. That, obviously, hurt his knuckles which did absolutely nothing for his temper. Almost as red as the gem in the A box.

Kire paused. Kire closed his eyes and breathed out slowly. He had missed it. How had he missed it?" He rested his forehead against the drawers and pulled off his glasses. Blue dye, now very wet, was dripping everywhere. This holiday is stupid." He picked up the red jewel and held it up. "Here it is. We're done. Time to go home."

Either Shinsuke simply had impeccable timing or this was purely coincidence. Whichever was the answer it seemed that he'd walked in just at the moment that the other guys found a gem. Scared as he'd been minutes before he managed to let out a light chuckle at the realization they were close to finished. Probably. Unless the ogress Kono-sensei decided they needed another puzzle to solve before she'd be kind enough to let them out of the library. Which might also be a possibility - one he hoped wasn't going to be the case, lest they manage to bungle the second test.. or worse, more scares in store after it!

Looking to the other two guys he felt kind of silly for getting so worked up about the things he'd seen in other spots. Nothing that had turned out to be actually scary in any sense after some investigation into their true nature. Well there had been the creepy books but the projector had probably been the source of that respective creepiness. More than silly he felt awkward that the other two had managed the bulk of the efforts while he'd been messing with red herrings. Someone else would've been messing with them if he hadn't gone to those spots though, so all in all it wasn't too bad. However he was definitely not feeling at the top of his game after getting scared by props and then ending up with no gems to show for his efforts.

"Huh, well.. er.. good job guys! I knew we'd figure it out," he remarked with false confidence, "All I found was some empty rooms and a creepy projector that lets you read ghost books. Well, images of books I guess.." With a small nervous laugh he looked to the other two and asked, "So, shall we go take care of turning the gem in?"

As Hisashi found himself sprayed once more with red dye, he simply chose to continue with the search through the drawers, letting out a sigh. It wasn't that he didn't notice the cloud had covered him. But at this point, he figured it was going to be a reoccurring trend until they finished and he simply had stopped caring at this point. There was no way his clothes were going to be stainless after this. Though as Kire held up the second gem, the blue one they had required before, he couldn't help but let out a faint sigh of relief.

Turning to look to Shinsuke as the third coat of paint had begun to dry upon him for that day, he contemplated his words for a few seconds before calming himself and nodding. "Yes, I think. . . Perhaps I'm slightly biased now, but I think I would like to avoid these haunted houses in the future." he said simply with a minor annoyance evident in his voice despite the friendly smile he gave. True enough, he felt this was probably going to be the last time he entered one of Bugei's funhouse, the night having mostly been filled with just frustration. Slowly turning towards the exit, the young man came to a stop at the door frame so he could quickly wipe the bottom of his shoes in the room before going to head into the main hallway. He wasn't going to be so petty as to start leaving dye prints throughout the halls, despite how much he felt he was entitled to it now.

The Crimson and the Azure gems, red and blue, now rested with the trio as they approached the entrance to the haunted floor. As they approached the stairs and Oni-Kono-Sensei's waiting position a terrible growl erupted across the floor as in front of them a creature of pure anger and hate appeared. Oni-Kono-Sensei's mouth was dripping with blood and her eyes had become completely crimson.

"I HUNGER!!!" she screamed loudly. Her finger nails had become extremely deadly looking claws and her face was now covered in thick red paint as she glared at the trio. Even the spiders in the web blocking the stairwell back down to the first floor seemed to skitter around angrily in their webs at all the violent shaking. They seemed terrified in spite of how poisonous and deadly they likely where.

"LEAVE! PUT THE TWO GEMS IN THE PEDESTAL AND LEAVE BEFORE I EAT YOUR VERY SOULS! YOU HAVE NO SECOND WARNING!" she screamed as again the entire floor trembled violently as her stomach growled. Slowly she raked one hand across the floor as four deep gashes appeared in the floor. The library felt as though it could collapse at any moment, and the oni looked as though she was mere moment away from consuming all three of them without a second though.

The red gem had already been placed earlier getting rid of half the spider webs. Now the trio needed to place the blue Azure gem and quickly run out the library before they got consumed by the Oni in the room with them!

Kire wasn't bothering to be polite at this point. His mood had really soured to the entire enterprise and it wasn't as if the library was going to get dingier by his tracking wet dyes all over the floor. Their own fault for mixing dye and water traps in the same area. Just add it to the cleaning they'd have to do to get rid of all the dust and decorations they'd put together. Serve them right. That bitterness was put aside when he saw the new and updated Kono-sensei.

It was actually incredibly impressive. There had to be either some magic doing this, which, of course there was, or the make up was really on point. Kire could really appreciate the work of another master, mostly when the master wasn't in the same field as he was. Kono-sensei really was creepy, you might almost forget it was her under all that, almost.

The shaking was a nice touch, hd to be some kind of magic thing going on in there. It was cheating but sometimes you had to have a shortcut at short notice. He was far too absorbed in this evaluation that he'd forgotten that he was the one with the orb until the claws through the floor dragged his mind back to the present.

He stepped forward awkwardly, sidestepping the damaged ground and awkwardly trying to keep his balance as the ground shook with every rumble. "Right, sorry, here you go." He set the gem on the other pedestal and scrambled back before the expected swipe came at him for getting too close. He was pretty sure that he'd figured out how this game was being played. "Alright boys and girls, time to go." he called to the others and started shuffling out behind them.

Everything was going swimmingly a first for the trio of boys stuck in the library. It seemed that they actually had both gems they needed to satisfy the ogress that had threatened to eat them. Low and behold the various places that Shinsuke had inspected turned out to have indeed been nothing more than false leads. Probably for the best considering how much the scarier moments earlier had shaken him up. Getting simple tricks rather than frights had allowed him to regain his composure to a degree; he was actually kind of looking forward to getting back to Oni-Kono-sensei to return the gems now. Easy come, easy go and no more terrifying things to occur this evening.

That is until the whole of the library felt as if it were going to collapse on them at any second. With everything shaking, gashes in the ground from the ogress' newly grown claws and even more intensity in the ogress' communicaiton, he wasn't clear-headed for long. In fact he was trembling in terror once again when she demanded the gems, neither of which he possessed. Supposing his fellow guys had lost one en route or something equally unfortunate they were in trouble. Really big trouble. Thankfully it seemed as if both of the gems were indeed there in one piece and to be returned without any problems.

Still he was backing out as fast as he could without instantly bolting into a full on sprint toward the exit. He held his hands up defensively, as if expecting the ogress or something else to lash out at him. At first each step taken was somewhat careful so as to avoid an accident. Once he neared the stairs he saw his opening.. but figured he ought to say his peace before high tailing it.

"W-well, now that you have what you asked for.. I suppose we'll head out," he said with a rather awkward forced chuckle. As soon as he'd spoken the word 'out', he turned and began hurrying toward the nearest exit.

Without much else than a sigh escaping from his lips, Hisashi found himself walking alongside the others as they went to return the gem back to the oni sensei. In truth, he was fairly ready to be done with all of this. It would be a pain to clean up when he got back to the dorms and he would have to be careful about what he touched. Still, he wanted to feel some respect for all the work that had been done to orchestrate the whole event. Though at present, he was more concerned with just escaping from it.

Glancing over to Shinsuke once more, Hisashi seemed to watch with a faint curiosity as he saw the guy shake before sighing. Maybe the whole thing would've been more fun if he could believe monsters and such were real? Or if he simply had a little less nerve than present. Though perhaps it was just a sign that he was winded up too tightly overall. He began to contemplate for a few moments before giving a shrug and figuring he'd just have to make do.

Hisashi then promptly spun on his heel and began to follow after Shinsuke with an eagerness to leave all of his own. All things considered, it wasn't completely terrible. At least he met two people, though there wasn't much actual talking between the three considering they had to split up and search. "Hey." he suddenly spoke as he looked back at Kire, staring hard for a moment before softening his gaze up. "Are all the events at this school so messy? I might need to avoid the next one if so." he continued as he decided to try making small talk.
