Sengoku Horizon

Look towards the Horizon

The Warring States Period: Fierce warlords fought for control of Japan, and many would perish. When a warrior falls, where does the passion they once held go? Possibly into something dear such as a favorite weapon or heirloom. These heirlooms have been labeled as “relics”, and those that carry them are labeled as “Scions." Recently more and more of these special relics have been activating, signaling the start of a great change as ancient power meets the modern world!

Now For The Local News, 11/01/2017 The dust has cleared after a fierce clash against the rebel Ikko Ikki monks. Now, as a tense period of calm spread over the island nation of Japan the students of Edo Bugei must figure out how to proceed in life after experience such intense conflicts and such deep loss.

Ash was trained to keep his cool, but he was also trained that in dire situations, nothing was off limits. His hair was grabbed and much to his surprise, he panicked slightly and struck out at his opponent's neck with a purlicue strike. Using the space in between his thumb and index finger, his hand lashed out with enough power to choke his opponent for a moment, but was careful not to hit hard enough to break Eiji's hyoid bone, which could permanently damage him.

If it landed, his opponent would have extreme difficulty breathing. He was still thrown, and tried to break his fall by landing on his side, and would use the momentum of his landing to roll back onto his feet, and then quickly stand up.

Eiji didnt know if he flailed or meant to but it felt like he just got shot in the throat. His chest flared up in red hot pain as just breathing now became a chore. He looked up as ash was about to scramble to his feet. "no" Eiji thought as he watched him. If he got back up Eiji wouldnt stand a chance with one sword and what seemed like broken lungs. Choices to make. Eiji could get back and catch his breath or exert himself even further with another attack. Eiji knew what he had to do. With all the force Eiji could muster He charged Ash throwing his entire body into on him dropping his sword in the process. Landing Eiji would attempt to strike ash in the face or body. With each hit Eiji blew air out of his nose violently until there was no air to snort out. This was however not without a toll. His exertion of his tackle and punches just made breathing even more impossible. This added with what ever counter attack ash would do proved to be Eiji's breaking point. Over time his Punches would get less and less powerful until he was doing a little more than brushing Ash's face Eiji slumped over from lack of oxygen, his face now a vibrant blood red hue.

Ash stood his ground, and a simple charge that was thrown at him would be easily countered. He simply grabbed an arm that was exposed from the simple charge. He let Eiji down as softly as he could, which in this case still ended up doing a bit of damage by knocking his feet out from under him. The charge seemed desperate and he couldn't help but notice that his opponent's face was turning red and his eyes started to gloss over a little.

Ash reached down and started to rub his opponent's throat, making sure he didn't break Eiji's hyoid bone. If it was shattered it was game over because it was the important bone that helped keep the trichina open. Finding it intact, Ash would lift his opponent into a sitting position, and any resistance met would evoke a quick response of, "Relax unless you want to die." He would position Eiji in a specific position before striking his palm into his back sharply to prompt Eiji's body to breathe.
