The weekend rolled into a lazy morning sun coming over the horizon and many students who weren't in a routine at this hour stayed in bed or made their day plans to hit the station early to get a head start. Between those that had plans outside of Bugei and staying in the dorms sleeping sat a wide awake Honda girl having tea in the lounge. She didn't wear the usual uniform and kept too a light blouse, tennis skirt, and a long silken scarf hanging around her neck and down her shoulders like some celestial cloth on Buddhist statues. Upon the table occupied by herself sat her phone blankly. The first sip made her breath deeply and sigh for what today would be and for any mental stress that would come of it.

In summary of the plan, today was going to be a discreet meeting with the infamous Ghost Rider who plagued the mission boards of Edo Bugei. Bu wanted to meet them to talk about bikes and things so an agreement was made between Mika and senior mentsuke Ajibana for permission to let this happen. Now all that waited was for the notice of their arrival and wherever Bu might be doing at this hour.

"She best not be truant for this," the Honda princess,in name and nothing more, drank her tea with a sigh in her wait. If this was all made for Bu and the Rider to have a get together then what did Mika have to gain from all this, one may wonder. The answer to this when divided out into portions would find that 85% of this meeting didn't have much to gain at all. The underlying connection of the mission that happenstance to encounter was the main draw and that would be the end of that. Her role was to oversee the two for neither of them to break the one rule of this encounter; no one leaving campus.

The other 14% was doing the security work. That final 1%, although a portion that should be largely unimportant, was to see what made the Rider tick. For the past several years of the rumored Rider being an elusive target on the motor bike now lives under Ajibana's custody than serving jail time. So far that person hasn't tried to run away or just avoided easy opportunities. Why ruin a good thing that's keeping one alive, right? Mika didn't want to deal with too many problems today so she texted Bu again to ensure that they weren't going to hold them up.

Bu,

The person you wanted to meet should be here shortly at the main school entry gate. Treat them like an alumni student if anyone asks about the visitor.

-Mika

The message was sent off with a press and the last of her tea was polished off from the disposable cup. Once finding some peace with the tea and the time drawing near, Mika headed out of the dorms to stroll across the campus to hang around the main entry gates. Either one should be showing up eventually so it was best to start actively surveying for potential problems overlooked by the rest of the student body.

Bu had been out late last night, not partying so much as cramming as much work as she could into a short period of time. The guys were always around, it seemed and she'd told them she wouldn't be able to make it on Saturday. So it fell to her to get her work done on Friday and Sunday instead. So she'd barely made it back before curfew, no pretending to have gone home to see her mother this weekend, Bu had to be on campus because she was finally going to see the Ghost Rider again. What an absolute dream that was.

Bu felt a little bit like a ghost herself the past week. She seemed light as a feather, her thoughts drifted around aimlessly and it was so very hard to concentrate. Unfortunately, as the saturday came closer, Bu's nerves started growing tighter. She hadn't felt this nervous since her first summit when she got to introduce herself as the new recruit to all the other local chapters. Just a girl, still sporting signs of a fashionable youth, standing before the hardened men and women of the gangs. It had all been posturing, hazing the new recruits was a classic tradition and she'd done her share once she took over. But this felt the same.

Of course it did, the Ghost Rider signified something to Bu, an icon. Doing good for the country under the cover and occasionally against the corrupt and ineffectual government. She rode like a demon and that riding suit was so cool. Bu wanted one. Bu wanted the Rider's bike too. Bu basically wanted to be the rider, to become her apprentice, forged by the heat of the engines, to breath the incense of the exhaust. To be the best, you had to train under and learn from the best. As far as Bu could tell, the Ghost Rider was the best.

Bu woke up early that morning, far too early. She was so tense, she couldn't focus. The only way to loosen up was a good fight. That wasn't going to be an option though. More's the pity. Instead, she settled for a dawn workout at the training halls where she drove herself to near exhaustion. She wanted to work out every last bit of strain and constriction in her muscles. That had taken a bit more time than she'd expected and was why she was just getting back to the dorm when she got the message from Mika.

Understood Ill be there soon she answered and broke into a sprint. She had to get cleaned up. Bu took the stairs two at a time to get to her room and left a bit of a mess. She showered and cleaned up as quick as she could and in less than fifteen minutes was barrelling down the stairs into the main hall and sprinting towards the main gate. She'd not had time to band herself up and felt that going the full bosuzoku look was a bit inappropriate for this meeting. After all, Bu wanted to learn and that was the look of somebody who was already part of the gang.

The school uniform also wasn't the face she wanted to put on to meet her idol either, though. That didn't leave Bu many options. In the end, the figure running across the school grounds wore tight black jeans, a large, dark blue sweater that hung loosely on her shoulders and partially revealed the blue t-shirt she wore underneath. Her hair was still wet so she'd had to live with a half up style pinned by her jade comb from underneath. It wasn't fancy, but it would do.

She finally made it to the gate and had to take a few seconds to catch her breath. It had been a lot of running, full tilt. But there was a plus side. She was feeling a whole lot more relaxed. Bu caught sight of Mika and waved. "Hey, I'm here." She called out and took a few more deep breaths before she approached. "I hope I'm not late."

A rather dark attitude hung in the air. Approaching the front gates of Edo Bugei was a young woman in jeans and a shirt. Her red hair tied up nicely and her body looking oddly exposed without a black leather riding suit around it. However, what would be most striking was the decidedly unhappy look in her eyes. Next to her an old man and a young police officer with a sword at his hip.
"Really? Walking me to the school gates?" she asked Ajibana in a tense tone. The senior metsuke looked at her and nodded casually.
"it is a bit like walking a daughter to school on her first day." he said. He meant it as a quipp, to strike at the girl for being as sarcastic and agressive as her aura obviously presented her to be right now. The trio was still a few yards away from the school's front gate.

"My parents are dead due to corrupt metsuke." she hissed and looked directly at him. The elderly gentleman not backing down a bit as he glared back. The police officer with them slowly slid his hand towards his sword until Ajibana grabbed the young officer's hand to get him to stop.
"Yes, and today you are free. I'm sure you remember the two from that night. They would deeply enjoy seeing you." he said as he motioned to her left pant leg and motioned his finger upwards. Still glaring the girl lifted her left pant leg to expose an ankle tracker and snarled a bit more.
"Yeah, freedom." but Ajibana paid her no mind. Instead he stood in place and pointed towards the school gates.

"This is as far as we are following you. If you want to meet them go ahead, or if you want to try and escape you can do that as well. Not that you will get far." it was truthful and she was well aware. Still, for the first time in a long time she would be outside of metsuke supervision. THe other night in Southern Edo, when she had sneezed a lot thinking Ajibana had spoken about her, even then she was sitting between two armed metsuke officers. This time, she was finally being given some kind of probation. With nothing else to say the woman shoved her hands in her pants pockets and began walking towards the school gates. She then abruptly turned and gave an obviously exaggerated salute to Ajibana.
"Prisoner Sumihara Mikaru, DEPLOYING TO SCHOOL. DADDY!" then turned around and walked full speed towards the gates. She couldn't help but laugh a bit. Even if she was pissed at Ajibana, it was true that for once she was meeting people as a normal person, and for the first time since her arrest, she was actually, mostly free. The police officer looked completely shocked for words while Ajibana simply smirked a bit.

Hardly a rush to meet the rider was in her as Mika lazily strolled to the gates to wait. She got the message from Bu and somewhat expected them to be early. Mika greeted Bu with a raised brow after turning around to find the girl hastily joining at the gate. It showed how eager they were to meet the Rider that it honestly saved Mika time from having to be left dealing with the strange woman. She thanked Bu by saying nothing to her about how much sweat was running down their neck nor the wasted expectations upon them.

"How good of you to arrive," she spoke curtly before casting another confused look past the gates. "No. It appears we're early this time." It may have been something in the wind but who in the world shouts 'Daddy' in the morning? It didn't sound like a child's voice either. The Honda sighed and came to the conclusion that it was nothing or some dumb student joking around beyond the gates and resumed waiting.

The wait was short with Mika checking her phone now every few seconds for something. The blonde assumed to get a message of some kind from Ajibana if a motor carriage didn't pull up before Bu and herself. Coming to view, instead, was a rather happy looking young lady with ginger hair and standard clothing. Due to how long it has been since seeing the Rider that, if not for expecting someone to come to the school today, Mika wouldn't have thought this person was the Ghost Rider.

Allowing time for Bu to still catch her breath, Mika tilted her head forward informally upon addressing the lady. "How good of you to arrive," she repeated once more to their guest. "We'll be accompanying you for the day. My friend has been eager to see you again." Mika prompted with a forced term thrown in. Her head motioned with a turn toward Bu to hand off the greeting formalities to them and Mika's part to take over in shadowing.

Bu, as usual, didn’t catch any rebuke or disapproval from Mika. “Course I showed up. No way Ah was gonna miss meeting with the greatest biker in the city.” She adjusted her hair a little. It still wasn’t dry but there was nothing to do about that. “Do you think Ah look alright?” She didn’t want to end up looking like an idiot or week or pathetic for the Ghost Rider. But there was no time to make changes or different choices now, suddenly there she was, in the flesh and out of her leathers. Bu could recognize that punk swagger anywhere, not to mention the shape of her. After all, Bu had spent a long night staring after the ghost rider.

But now that the ghost rider was there in the flesh right in front of them, Bu found herself at a total loss for words. Bu’s entire body seized up under rigid paralysis. What was she supposed to say? Profess worship? Compliment her hair? Ask about the bike? Request to study under her? It was all so awkward. And then Mika passed the torch of conversation to her. Bu quickly glanced nervously at Mika and then back to the ghost rider. She panicked, there was no other word for it.

Bu bowed deeper than she’d ever done for any metsuke or school official. “”Ah place myself in your care, please be kind to me.” Wait, that wasn’t right, this wasn’t a wedding or something. She had to recover. “Ehh, Ah’m Rakuyama Buru, you remember me? From the night with the cops?” So much for not sounding like an idiot. “Ah got shot.” This was, very likely, not necessary to mention. Of the two who had gone out to chase down the Ghost Rider, Bu was rather distinct from Mika, despite having a few similar physical traits. “It’s umm, it’s a real pleasure to meet you properly today.”

Mikaru saw the two and smiled. They definitely looked different, since she wasn't seeing them primarily through the mask of a riding helmet. Though no doubt she looked different too. Looking at the school it had been a long time since she'd seen the campus of Edo Bugei Academy. A lot of her actions had taken place in pretty backwater parts of Eastern Edo after all.
. "How good of you to arrive," said Mikazuki "We'll be accompanying you for the day. My friend has been eager to see you again." in return Mikaru gave a polite bow.

Looking at Bu it was obvious Bu was flustered and a look of concern crossed Mikaru's face as Bu gave a super deep bow. The red head quickly looked at Mikazuki as though asking if Bu was alright as Bu began speaking. The moment Bu introduced herself like an exchange student Mikaru looked even more concerned and a little embarrassed.
“Ehh, Ah’m Rakuyama Buru, you remember me? From the night with the cops?” then when Bu mentioned the gun shot Mikaru looked at her as though she was crazy.
"Well yeah, you beat up a metsuke. Both of you did. Kind of hard, to forget." she pointed out bluntly.
"It’s umm, it’s a real pleasure to meet you properly today.” blinking a bit and looking back Mikaru hoped Ajibana was behind her. After all the old man was better with words. Sadly he and the metsuke that had brought her here had both left already. Turning back and looking a bit concerned in regards to Bu's mental state Mikaru stammered a bit.

"Its cool to see you two again too. I was surprised when Ajibana told me you guys wanted to see me." a definite awkwardness hung in the air for multiple reasons. Mikaru had gotten shot that night and lived. Bu had gotten shot. These two had chased her all over Edo, and helped her solve a murder, and she had also not only been arrested but stripped of her motorcycle and relic. It was a large ball of various feelings fro that evening.
"Also, um, thanks. For the help that night. Sorry about not talking, but.....nevermind. Thank you." she realized she couldn't explain her relic to others. After all that was something Ajibana had expressly told her was forbidden. Though it was also true that was beating around the bush, and really just needed to thank them. So, with her thanks given, she then bowed again. Mikazuki and Bu didn't realize it, but they had certainly gained an awkward friendship with Mikaru that night.

Mika clenched her hand around her phone tightly. A part of her wanted to throw it at Bu for being an idiot or just pinch the bridge of her nose at the special level of mental workings Bu was displaying. Fine... Mika groaned and threw Bu a life saver to keep the tough shark from drowning.

"Yes. My friend here wanted a proper follow up of that evening without the circumstances that complicated the affair. I am Honda Mikazuki but I prefer to be addressed as Mika. We thank the allowed time granted to meet like this," Mika explained to get her own introductions out of the way. Her eyes glanced sideways to check if Bu somehow choked on their own spit.

"Truthfully, we are glad that you aren't mute." She expressed lightly but really Mika would have been peeved to exchange numbers so quickly just to have a texted based conversation. "As for the campus, there is a lot to take in at a glance. The main building, dorms, and club facilities are obvious stand outs
but how about we move toward some familiar grounds like the parking garage."

There being the hint that if these two biker girls were deeply into their craft then that would win Mika an easier time of keeping an eye on them and the added bonus of them being in one location. "Would you care to view those facilites?"

Bu smiled awkwardly and scratched the back of her head. This was not the grand reunion that she'd been hoping to have with the Ghost Rider, or Mikaru. Two Mikas in one place, maybe it would get confusing with the Honda and the Rider around. Actually, that was interesting as well, Honda and Ghost Rider, sharing a name and sharing a loose idea to vehicles. But Bu was losing track of the conversation. "Don't worry about it, Ah hadn't had that much fun in ages. Felt good to get on a bike again and just tour." Bu's idea of a tour was not one that would be shared by most.

Bu turned to look at Mika. Was that what they were doing? A tour? Well, Bu could certainly manage that. Come to think of it, it wasn't as if there was any kind of schedule or goal for the meeting. Originally she had just wanted to make sure the Ghost Rider lived and hadn't been disappeared by the corrupt authorities. That was a common end to the punk life. At least, it was in the movies.

Bu looked back at Ghost Mikaru. "Yeah, the garage could be fun. We could also stop by the Mechanic Club while we're there." She gestured at herself. "Ah've done a pretty good job getting it running again. Had a few false starts but now it's purring like a kitten." She was pretty proud of herself for that. She wasn't exactly president, mostly because the club didn't really bother with that kind of thing. They didn't even have real meetings, people just wandered in and got to work when the mood took them. No reason to get in the way of work just because the club doors were shut.

"Ah've actually been working on a bike of my own. Ah'd really love it if you looked over my blueprints and gave me some pointers."

Mikaru gave Mika her full attention as Mika explained about the school grounds, and its various facilities. Apparently it was quite the well built campus and even had a mechanical area to work on bikes in. At first she imagined it would be near wherever the kept horses then realized that was a foolish idea. Horses would get too easily scared by the sounds of engines. More than likely it was near wherever the school's blacksmiths practiced.
"Well, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance Mika. Both our names start with Mika, but I was called Karu as a child. So we can just use that." she wasn't snarky or anything. In fact Mikazuki had been nothing but polite, and thus the biker was polite back as Mikazuki offered to go to the school's biking workshop.
"I would love to see your school's garage. Also, thank you for being so hospitable. I realize last time we didn't get along very well." she said with a bit of a shrug.

It was at this time that Bu chimed in about the state of the mechanics club on campus and how they could also stop by the club room if she wanted. As Bu spoke it was clear that the girl was extremely proud of what she had managed to do with the club and Karu guessed that it had been pretty much dead before Bu arrived. It was clear that Bu's passion for motorcycle riding was well beyond some simple hobbyist.
"I'm impressed then. It sounds like your love of machines is genuine. If you two want to lead the way I would love a tour of wherever you'd like to show me." more and more it seemed like Karu was different from her first impression. Something about her felt reserved and humbled by seeing the two of them. Though also a bit strange. It was as though she was holding quite a lot back from her words.

"Right this way," Mika motioned with a hand while clenching her teeth since Mikaru, now just Karu, mentioned about the last meeting didn't go well. Most certainly not after that start of falling from the equivalent from a four story home. She headed off toward the clubs and where the shops would be at a slow pace which left all the room and air for Bu to take the lead and run ahead if they wanted to. Mika knew of the general area of where the club facility was but that's about the limit of her knowledge there.

"Might I ask," her head turned to tilt slightly back toward Karu on the matter mentioned earlier of their muteness. "Why did choose to not talk verbally?" The matter was strange and only seemed cumbersome. Karu managed to somehow talk to them through their police helmets when sending the recordings then picked to text by phone. She wore a bodysuit that didn't exactly hide a man's figure under it from how tight fitting it was so avoiding to speak to reveal a woman was the mysterious rider was almost redundant. Although the rumors mostly focused on their riding skill so gender never really factored into it until after their encounter.

As she walked, she lightly texted to Ajibana on their tour thus far. It was brief with just location and status followed behind it. To save time to make the messages very brief, the entry was consolidated with simple emoji's to empathize if things were going okay or no.

Karu, a childhood nickname. Everything was progressing so quickly. Bu had never believed that she'd be calling the Ghost Rider by her first name, let alone a nickname. Sure, she tended to do the whole first name thing to a lot of people, but mostly because she was being an ass. To have somebody she desperately wanted to impress say to call her by a nickname, even out of convenience, was lovely.

But the club room was a daunting prospect. What if there were the casuals in there, the ones who just pretended to like motorcycles to be cool? What if somebody had brought in a trike again? Or God forbid were actually showing off that dreadful pink and green seated abomination? The club area might be fraught with dangers to Bu's pride, but she might just have to endure it like all the other blows she'd been taking lately. But in the meantime, Mika was asking about talking.

Talking was kind of a weird thing, Karu hadn't done any speaking until much later on. The supposed proof had been a bunch of recordings pointing at the ream criminals. That wasn't exactly the sort of thing you expected meeting a person in polite society, but Bu hadn't exactly been thrown off as it was rather difficult to talk to anyone if you didn't have a radio while riding. Or unless you shared a bike. "Yeah, could have cleared a whole lot of confusion up with us if you'd just come out and said what was going on."

She had to turn her head to see Karu since she had gone in front to lead the other two toward the garage and club room. "Ah mean, can't speak for Mika but I would have been on your side, especially if Ah got a bit of extra time with your bike. You just have to tell me where you got it or how you put it together." She kind of wanted a bike like that one, certainly being able to jump and land was brilliant, then there was the whole riding on walls that she could do. What she wouldn't give to be able to do that.

Things seemed to be going well. Very well in fact. Then with one question it went downhill extremely fast. Mikazuki, apparently quite the observant girl, asked her a question she had strongly hoped wouldn't be asked.
"Why did choose to not talk verbally?" as they kept walking Karu decided it was best to just be honest. Especially after Bu added to it.
"Yeah, could have cleared a whole lot of confusion up with us if you'd just come out and said what was going on." forcing Karu to laugh a bit.
"It is part of my relic. Sorry about that." and with that she shrugged. She wouldn't go in depth, so it wasn't like Ajibana could get mad at her. Also Mika was smart enough that Karu was sure she would figure it out some way or another. Either way she hadn't lied, and that was what mattered.

As they moved towards the garage and clubs, of course Bu focused on Karu's bike and Karu stopped.
"Umm, I don't actually have a bike. The thing I rode is an old piece of scrap I found when I left that morning." then she stopped, her face looking disgruntled. Mentally she swore to herself, so loudly that any psychic would have heard it for sure. Then she quickly gave an awkward laugh.
"I mean, its not a great bike or anything ya know?" she said with more awkward laughing. Again mentally swearing more and more. Ajibana was going to kill her. That was it, she was done, yup. She was for sure going to be executed the moment either of them said anything about those words to Ajibana. If he was listening in too. With any luck they would both just bite the bullet here and accept her words upfront. After all, why would they? Not like she was an ex criminal right? They are on her side RIGHT?! Mentally she kept yelling at her self before finally conversations shifting.
"OH! By the way, speaking of bikes, do you have any you are working on right now? Do a lot of the students here have bikes of their own?" yeah, that was the way Karu! Shift the topic! Perfectly smooth!

"Hmm, very well," Mika shrugged at the unfortunate loss that this relic of theirs has such limitations that required for them to use pre-recorded messages to get across. Must be something shadow related or whichever. She held her hands together by her wrists while walking and leaving Bu and the Karu to talk about their vehicles. Her dull eyes blinked at a curious fact they picked up while crossing the grounds and nearing the school club areas.

Her impression on the Ghost Rider stemmed from how they first behaved and then upon Bu's gross praise and bike interests. In a way did they give the impression of the Rider themselves being similar to Bu. Garage girls about bikes and things but the surprising fact to hear that Karu didn't care much about the vehicle mounted for the chase had her think differently of them.

So this person isn't like Bu, for now, but also rode around doing self justice in a way of a bloodhound which is still somewhat like Bu. Their conversation at that unsavory club hinted to a measure of it before work and other annoying aspects came into the talk. "So, in short, you don't officially own one. You seee fairly knowledgeable all the same."

"Old piece of scrap, my ass. That bike was custom, Ah'm sure of it." Bu shook her head vigorously. It was one thing to be modest, heck, Bu could pretend to be modest sometimes too, even if it was a bore. But calling that bike a piece of scrap, that was too far. "Ah saw the stuff that little beast pulled under your hand, Karu." Bu stopped and faced the Ghost Rider with a face as serious as the grave.

"That bike managed to pull off more than Ah would have ever expected from it. You shouldn't go disrespecting it that way. The bike is an extension of the rider, Ah would have thought you knew that." Bu turned around on her heel and started walking toward the garage just a little bit more purposefully. Piece of scrap, indeed.

Bu didn't answer Karu, she assumed the question was aimed at Mika anyway since Bu had already said she was working on a bike. As for the other students, well, Mika was probably more knowledgeable about the student make up. As far as Bu could tell, there was a distinct lack of other cyclists, most kids preferred those awful horses, the ones who could afford something to ride at least.

"So, in short, you don't officially own one. You see fairly knowledgeable all the same." Mika's statement made Karu want to bite her tongue. In terms of conversation it was getting decidedly harder to not explain her relic given the circumstances. She was aware, from Ajibana, that Mikazuki was pretty smart and in terms of the conversation she felt she was bleeding out and Mika was a fin circling around her in the water. Her posture, briefly, became a bit more defensive but she still had her own orders to follow. She decided to go with the one thing she actually could say, that made the most sense.
"I don't have a bike of my own, but I really wish I did. Whatever bike I take along with suffers a lot of wear and tear. It would be nice to get a bike that can hold up under pressure." their, that was the best way she could phrase it while figuring Mikazuki would get the hint.

Fortunately, they had Bu with them, who cut through the subtle hints the rider was giving like a hot knife through butter.
"Old piece of scrap, my ass. That bike was custom, Ah'm sure of it." Bu said. It was obvious, even more than before, that subtle was not Bu's thing.
"Ah saw the stuff that little beast pulled under your hand, Karu." Bu stopped and faced the Ghost Rider with a face as serious as the grave. After scolding Karu, Bu began walking off and Karu let out a bit of a sigh. Bu was already ahead of them as Mika and Karu starting walking towards the direction Bu had taken. Since it was just the two of them Karu laughed a bit.
"She is for sure hot headed, that one." the smile on her face was wide, clearly enjoying it in a way.
"Sorry for the bullshit answers. Ajibana." she knew just mentioning the senior official's name would make it clear enough. After all Mika was clearly a bright student. A lot of stuff that was considered classified flowed through Ajibana's office, and he set rules on what Karu could and couldn't say or do since she was a former criminal. With that said she then picked up her pace. She was honestly curious to see this bike Bu had been working on, and quickly hurried to wherever Bu went so that she could see this bike club.
