The Warring States Period: Fierce warlords fought for control of Japan, and many would perish. When a warrior falls, where does the passion they once held go? Possibly into something dear such as a favorite weapon or heirloom. These heirlooms have been labeled as “relics”, and those that carry them are labeled as “Scions." Recently more and more of these special relics have been activating, signaling the start of a great change as ancient power meets the modern world!

Now For The Local News, 06/01/2018 The Chinese delegation have now arrived at the city of Edo. Making friends and learning about Edo Culture is their current aim! In other news it is also time for the school dance event! Please bring your characters along!

A timeline of the past beginning with the Sengoku era in 1551. This is not a complete timeline by any means. Just events relevant to this roleplay.

Sengoku Horizon (2015-Present)

December 24th: Ego Bugei winter celebration takes place.

December 25th: Edo celebrates the season with a winter parade and light show.

February 1st: A large mission takes place in the ocean near Shikoku to stop a group of rebels trying to sneak weapons into the island and cause an uprising against the shogunate.

May 28th: A massive Earthquake rocks Edo. The entire city is devastated. Many citizens, including Edo Bugei students and staff, lose their lives.

June 1st: A funeral is held for Saika-sensei and Cross-sensei, the two Edo Bugei faculty lost in the Great Kanto Earthquake.

June 11th: A massive candle light vigil and prayer ceremony is held for all of the citizens of Edo and the surrounding cities and provinces who lost their lives in the quake.

June 12th-August 5th: During these two months every citizen in and around Edo is extremely busy taking in donations from the rest of the country, trying to recover what remains of their lives, and help re-build the once incredible city of Edo.

September 22nd: The Japanese festival of Higan-e takes place. It is a large harvest festival. The morning is spent contemplating the losses in one's life while the afternoon is spent celebrating the harvest, and in fact celebrating the gift of life itself.

September 23rd: A group of Ikko Ikki zealot monks, with a former Hitokiri as the group leader, attempt to assassinate the Shogun and his family at the shrine of the first Tokugawa Shogun. The Ikko are killed and a decree is made that war will soon come.

Winter 2016: A time of rest for the Edo Bugei students. The Edo Bugei students train in preparation for war with the Ikko Ikki in spring.

March 5th: An emergency meeting is held at Edo Bugei. Spring has come and massive Ikko armies will soon be attacking key cities in Japan. The Edo Bugei students are sent all over the country in order to take down the Ikko Ikki.

March 7th: Kyoto, Osaka, Kanezawa, and various other large cities are attacked by massive Ikko armies. While the combination of provincial samurai and Edo Bugei students manage to push back the Ikko it is clear for all of Japan that the Ikko uprising is powerful, and that the seemingly invincible Shogunate can be badly hurt. Multiple Bugei students either lose their lives or are badly injured fighting the Ikko.

March 8th: A massive foreign battle ship approaches Edo. While all of the Japan's samurai had gone to remote areas away from Edo to fight the Ikko army the Ikko's main force approach Edo from the sea. The massive battleship "Tsukuyomi", armed with multiple cannons and 4 large Gatling guns. The students are forced to hurry back to Edo, still exhausted and trying to recover from the massive battles that had just taken place.

March 9th: The Ikko, lead by a former Tokugawa master assassin, begin a direct assault on the city of Edo. Former assassin Shin and many of his allies are high powered scions that require entire groups of Edo Bugei students to hold them back. Meanwhile all of Edo has risen up to fight the hoards of Ikko monks running through the streets of their city.

March 9th: Late in the afternoon the Ikko army is defeated through the sacrifice of multiple Edo Bugei students. Many of the surviving students would have PTSD for the incident. A large amount of Edo, including Edo Castle, has now been destroyed.

Summer 2017: Many Edo students go home for the summer in order to spend time with their families and try to fix their home provinces.

Fall 2017: Students return to the damaged Edo Bugei for a new semester. In order to try and lift the student's spirits the school staff hold an opening ceremony and a fun Halloween in inspired event to lightly scare the students.


December 25th 2017 - January 10th, 2018: The Edo Bugei students spend Christmas with one another, taking a long look back at the past year fighting the Ikko, mourning the dead, and declaring their love for the living. It is a very special holiday for many of the students.

February 2018: In a gesture of good will the Emperor of China sends a Chinese delegation of six students and Beijing Academy's Head Teacher to Edo. The students have come to not only guard the weakened city of Edo and it's Shogunate, but also to learn about Japanese culture and study abroad. They quickly try making friends with the Edo Bugei students.

Lunar New year 2018: Lunar New Year is celebrated as Edo Bugei and Beijing Academy students spend the shared holiday with one another, trying to learn more about their various cultures.

Summer 2018: The Edo Bugei's student Council decide to hold a Western style school dance in order to experience a school dance, something almost unheard of in Tokugawa Japan.
