In the capital city of Edo a massive academy for training the next political and military leaders of Japan exists. This special prep school is also the training ground for the "Scions", those who have uncovered powerful artifacts from the warring states period. The Headmaster of the Edo school is Hosokawa Moritatsu, a man who's clan has been long loyal to the Shogunate.
All students are required to live in campus dorms. The two dorm buildings, split by gender with a large common use building between them, are heavily monitored and extremely lavish. Every students has his or her own room. The only exception to this is graduated/elite students. They will have the option to live off campus. Though they will be required to choose an apartment close to the Bugei in case of emergency.
Not every student at the Bugei is from a major clan. Some are exceptionally gifted individuals allowed in due to their talents, or for being Scions. If you are not from a province owning clan then the clan who owns the province you hail from will sponsor you while you attend the academy. After graduation from the academy it is likely this clan will attempt to make you a vassal. So please do your best for the sake of your family and your lords and ladies supporting you.
If you have your character starting as a second or third year please justify why in your character history. Put what they did to deserve that rank. A second year, and especially third, should be fairly well versed in multiple fields and have at least one or two large accomplishments behind them.
Requirements: None. Starting year of the academy.
Requirements: At lest two events and one major accomplishment. People can choose at the end of each arc to year up or not.
Requirements: Thee events, two large accomplishments. People can choose at the end of each arc to year up or not.
Requirements: Four events. Three major accomplishments. Must Pass 4th year entrance exam. Please request of staff.
Requirements: Pass Elite entrance exam. Exam will be randomly offered by staff.
Almost every student at the school has a track they are on. A specific area of study at the academy. Each track contains at least two focuses. Students should choose one focus for their character. These tracks are how students will be divided up on missions, and your uniform will have an arm band on it symbolizing your chosen track. Depending on your focus you will also gain a special passive ability.
Artillery (Guns or Bows): Artillery students are students that attack at range. They focus on accuracy with ranged weapons and are usually less skilled at melee combat. Their uniforms include an arm band with arquebus and two arrows making an X behind it. Their passive allows them to judge range, wind speed, and movement speed of a target just by sight alone.
Artisans (Performers or crafters): While less battle focused than other areas the artisan students tend to be very knowledgeable of various cultures and traditions. They tend to draw people in with charm and skill. The arm band for this group has a folded out fan for performers. For crafters it is a chizzle and mallet forming an X shape. The passive talent for performers is the ability to use body language to emphasize your words and make them have more impact. The crafter passive allows them to require less post length to create an item.
Bushi (Cavalry or Infantry Specialization): Bushi are the high grade warriors of the academy. They are taught multiple fighting styles and group combat tactics. They will rarely fight alone since they are taught to better fight as groups. Your arm band will have a small emblem of your weapon it. For cavalry the arm band will have a horses' head on it. The bushi's passive ability allows them to withstand one lethal blow per. thread.
Guards (Police, Bodyguards, etc.): This focus specializes in teaching someone how to notice spies, and defend both themselves and whoever they are guarding. The arm band for this track is a western style shield. The guard passive allows them to swiftly move in the way of an oncoming attack, taking the damage for someone else.
Infiltration (Ninjas, Spies, and Assassins): Students on this path usually study how to be stealthy and attack oriented. They are usually faster than other students and taught various tricks to use both in and out of combat. This track's arm bands are completely blank and often taken off. The spy passive allows them to lie without detection, whereas the ninja and assassin passive allows them to better aim blows for more damage.
Medic (Healers and Surgeons): The medic students have devoted themselves to the study of the human body. They are often held back at Edo Bugei to heal injured students upon arrival. The arm band for this track has a large medical cross on it. The passive gained from this route is the ability to quickly tell what kind of poison or illness is effecting someone simply by sight.
Strategist (Military or Political): The talkers of the school. They have keen minds and focus on navigating various terrain, whether it be a battlefield or a political conversation. The arm band for this path has a general's iron fan on it. Political track students gain a passive that makes them more likable when dealing with others, simply by aura alone. Military strategists gain a passive allowing them to quickly tell the location of traps and ambushes, since that is where they would have placed them themselves.
Undecided Students: General learner of education. However, halfway through 2nd year a student must have an occupation chosen. These students have no arm band. Undecided students gain increased luck. They have a better chance of not getting poisoned, suffering lethal blows, and having good things happen to them in threads.

Every student is in one of four grades. This is a running list of who is in what year:
Moderator Note: "~" Means that due to long inactivity or if no show, will be removed, subject to reasons or changes. While the number of "*" in front of the student's name is a description of how many years the student has resided in that grade year.
