Sengoku Horizon

Look towards the Horizon

The Warring States Period: Fierce warlords fought for control of Japan, and many would perish. When a warrior falls, where does the passion they once held go? Possibly into something dear such as a favorite weapon or heirloom. These heirlooms have been labeled as “relics”, and those that carry them are labeled as “Scions." Recently more and more of these special relics have been activating, signaling the start of a great change as ancient power meets the modern world!

Now For The Local News, 7/10/2017 A blood red summer has come. As the Edo Bugei students finish facing off with the ikko forces all across the nation a massive steel ship floats towards Edo Harbor. The final battle between the Ikko Ikki rebels and the Edo Bugei students is about to begin. The lingering question now, just how much of Edo will be left standing once the battle ends?

Edo Castle. Located in the middle of Central Edo, in the very heart of the massive city of Edo, was this legendary castle. 400 years ago the Tokugawa had defeated the Toyotomi and united Japan. The castle was the home of the Tokugawa Shogunate and right now, as people gathered from all over Edo for what had been called the best New Years celebration they would ever see in their life time the castle stood above all.

Enka music started playing, the main anthem of the Tokugawa Shogunate came from speakers all over Central Edo, letting people know the ceremony was about to begin. As the woman singing a classic song hit a high note the appearance of Edo Castle suddenly changed completely!
user posted image

It was an abstract design, but most of the crowd had never seen Edo Castle's main keep lit up like this before. All over Central Edo people cheered and gasped. As the music quited down the design changed again as fireworks shot out of the Edo Castle grounds.

The Shogun's voice came out of the speaker and echoed through Central Edo.
"People of Edo. This is the dawn of a new year! The past year we had an earthquake that almost destroyed the city, however thanks to the courage of our law enforcement, our samurai, and the brave students of Edo Bugei academy we are not only whole but even better than before! To show everyone our gratitude we have prepared something special for you! And with that a large stage set up in front of the Edo Castle grounds suddenly burst to life. As more fireworks shot off from around Edo Castle five girls appeared on stage. The middle girl smiled and grabbed a microphone, looking at the audience.
[b]"HOW ARE WE ALL DOING TONIGHT? ON BEHALF OF EDO-NAGOYA JOINT TALENT AGENCY WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HAPPY HOLIDAY!"
and all five girls smiled and waved at the audience as the crowd went wild. A popular pop song started playing as the five girls began dancing on stage.

Suddenly sakura blossoms blew around the crowd even though it was winter as the girls kept singing.
"To everyone both living in Edo and just visiting, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" the Shogun's voice yelled through the speakers as he watched from high up in Edo Castle with his close family. The entire crowd cheered and clapped towards the beautifully lit up Edo Castle. To old Edo Bugei students it still would have felt like something new, and for brand new students at Edo Bugei this would be the first major event they got to see in Edo!

The journey to Edo had passed by in a blur to the downtrodden Nadir. Hardly speaking a word to his uncle, the new scion found himself deep in nostalgia over the loss of his family and home. He recalled the many bouts he'd had with his father, and how he'd always found his teachings a bit lacking. He mourned of the numerous times his mother had asked him to stay home and help her with dinner. The only words that registered to him as they journeyed west into Edo were his uncles. The scene had burned it's way into his vision as they entered the outskirts of central edo-
"Your father had meant to give this to you when you had finished your training. He had hoped you would wear it, in place of his name."
The words very meaning bit at his heart, even now as he felt the smooth yet tough fabric of the outdated uniform, the hood pulled low over his eyes. The feel of the wind coursing around him gave a sense of comfort, and somewhere in his chest he felt a surge of euphoria from the presence of the magic that had laid dormant in it's fabric for generations.
Then a resounding BOOM clutched at his chest, waking him from his long moment of stasis. Large flowers of sparks lit up into the sky, as the sound of a woman singing drifted into his ears. Only now did Nadir take notice of a crowd of people varying in age and origin spread out in front of him, their eyes fixed on a stage set before an impressive castle.
He found himself atop a man-made cliff at the end of a long flight of stairs he barely registered having climbed. Ono stood behind him a solemn guardian and guide watching as the boy's eyes lit up in awe at the scene. Above the commotion of the woman voice and the time honered displays of light, a strong voice resounded around the courtyard, reverberating through his very being:
"To everyone both living in Edo and just visiting, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" This was followed by a mighty wave of cheers, as most every body before him through their hands in the air in celebration, as though fighting off the tragedies of the old year with their roars. The wind around him whipped up a bit as his heart began to race with adrenaline in response to the scene.
He felt a weight on his shoulder, looking to Ono he saw his uncle's hand perched there. He gave a slight nod as though permitting him to take in the joyous event. It was the first thing real that registered since he had arrived back home not but a few days ago. It was only now that he noted the look in Ono's eyes, and Nadir saw that he too had been walking through his own darkness.
"Welcome Nadir, to Edo castle."
Nadir's lips adorned the first smile they had felt in what seemed like a life time as he put his own hand on Ono's shoulder.
"Welcome back Ono." He replied with gusto, giving a toothy grin. Ono gave a look to start as though caught off guard, before chuckling and patting the scion back warmly.
"I think you'll find yourself at home here young one."
"I'd like to find my way to some concession stands first." He replied earnestly, rubbing his stomach, setting aside his depression for later. Chuckling more heartily, Ono pointed a it to the left of the stage.
"You'll find the cure over there, they usually have kabobs n plenty other goods to choose from."
"Sweetness!" Taking a few hardy steps towards the designated area, Nadir felt somehow that his mentor was not following him, looking back curiously he found Ono had pulled one of his usual disappearing acts. Shaking his fist at the empty air his uncle once occupied, he wondered where the wandering warlord had gone to this time. Folding his arms behind his head he made his way through the crowd with a noted ease, slipping in between people as he made his way to glorious food.
The sound of the music and the collective roar of the attendants chattering amungst themselves was a bit unnerving, being one who usually strayed away from such dense crowds. But as he neared his destination and caught whiff of spiced meats his unease vanished, replaced with an unnatural curiosity. A lady with long flowing brown hair and an energetic smile stood about to his height on the other side of the stand, handing out kabobs to people as they passed with child like exuberance. Her quick eyes caught his as Nadir approached, and she pushed one towards him.
"Enjoy the festival, and be sure to put in a good word for the home Ec club when you-" She blinked, looking Nadir over with an almost confused expression, as though something didnt quite make sense with the young scion's appearance.
"Oh my god, thank you so much, its been ages!" Grabbing the succulent treat and mouthing it all in one go, he ate it diligently as he spoke. "This is delicious, but i think maybe some peppers and onions would light it up a bit." He smiled recalling her words. "I don't suppose there a sign-up for this Home Ec club is there?" The girl shook off her confusion, before chipping back.
"There is room, but now's not the time, besides with all the festivities, theres no time for-" She stopped mid sentence as nadir hopped over the counter. "What are you-"
"Get your grub on, everything you need to keep the party going and the fire roaring, come on down to the life of it all!" Nadir was already roaring back to the crowds of people filtering past, many of whom came readily to the stand. Requesting everything from the kabobs to assorted salads that were displayed along the counter. The girl watched almost dumbfounded, before joining his enthusiastic peddling with rivaling gusto.
"Step right up and see where it's at! You don't know Edo til you experience one of our signature tapioka rice balls! Come live it up, and take the night to go!" Her voice rang out along with his own.
The night rolled on, and the events leading to his presence that night had all but faded from Nadir's memory, as he seemlesly and unknowingly alotted his position in the home ec's roster.

Kurome showed up a little late to the ceremony, as she was finishing up her training in the dojo. When she arrived, the Shogun had already finished his speech, and some famous pop song was playing. Sure, the song was rather catchy, but Kurome didn't like the song. Regardless, she bobbed her head to the music was she walked around the area.

The girl with the purple hair tied in ribbons at the end was wearing her normal attire, a red/orange kimono with a short skirt, one sleeve hanging off of her shoulder while the other wasn't even on her arm. Underneath she was wearing a fashionable sports bra, only being shown on the side where her sleeve wasn't even on. The ends of the sleeves had black decor on them that resembled flames licking the edges, a perfect representation of fireworks and then new year, she thought. She also her wore her normal thigh-high stocking with her shin-high boots, and her ever-so-famous mask on the side of her head, her token item that gave her scion powers. On her sleeve she wore her elite status band, as required for the ceremony for all the Elite students. In case new students had a question, they would be there to answer them.

The girl looked around at all of the unfamiliar faces as she passed through the crowd, deciding who out of all the new students would get stressed out halfway through the school year. She thought back to her first year, and compared it to her time today. How much she's grown since then!
She stood in the back of the crowd with her arms crossed over her chest, looking through all the faces to find her friends. When she spotted Suishoku and Eriko, in different places, she waved at them.

Kurome turned to search through the crowd when the fireworks started. She looked up and smiled as the colorful lights lit up her face and the area surrounding them. She noticed a figure walking by in the corner of her eye and turned to face the person. It was Izuki Kai, the guy she had strange feelings for. She smiled and waved at him, putting aside her random dislike for one moment. Maybe this year would be a good year...

It was a breathtaking sight. Coloured lights formed intricate patterns all over Edo Castle and distinguished it from the rest of Edo, even if that was covered in pretty lights, too. Mirai hadn’t gotten there early enough to get particularly close to the castle - all the close spots had already been taken when she’d arrived - but the castle was tall enough that it wasn’t too much of a problem and she could still see most of it above the heads of the crowd, even if she didn't get to see it close up.

It was a celebration of the new year; as such, many of the people in the crowd around her had dressed up special for the occasion in yukatas and kimonos. Mirai herself wasn’t dressed too specially; she didn’t really have many fancy clothes nowadays anyway, seeing as she kept most of the expensive ones her mother bought for her stuffed away at the bottom of her closet in her dorm room or she'd simply left them behind in Kitakyushu to begin with. Even though Mirai would have liked to dress a little more nicely than usual due to the occasion, she refused to even touch those fancy clothes in the bottom of her closet. She resented them. They were way too pretentious-looking, which made her feel uncomfortable to wear them, and they cost far more than anyone should ever spend on clothes. So Mirai settled for her nicest pair of jeans and the more stylish of the coats that she owned, a white one that went down to just above mid-thigh. Unusually, she also wore her hair down, with a little braid behind her left ear that was secured with a red ribbon to match her socks.

Closing her eyes, Mirai listened to the music and breathed along with the rhythm, in or out at the start of every bar. It was a habit she’d picked up from kendo; they would meditate at every kendo session and nowadays Mirai found it helped her think if she breathed like during meditation.

And there was certainly a lot to reflect on - it was a new year. A fresh beginning. And a lot had happened over the past year. She’d started to train with a katana and wakizashi, swords of steel and not just bamboo. She’d come to Edo Bugei. Akane-chan, Fukumi and Yuki-chan, her three best friends from Kyushu, had tried to spend as much time around her as often as they could before she'd left; it had been fun, even if the reason was that Mirai was going to be leaving and they wouldn’t have a chance to spend any time with her afterwards.

Thinking of them, Mirai pulled her mobile out of her pocket and snapped a couple of pictures of Edo Castle. They weren’t high quality photos but they would do. She attached them to an email along with the words “Happy new year xoxo” and sent it off to her three friends. Three more words - “miss you guys” - almost made it into the email as well, but merely thinking them was enough to make her breath catch in her throat, and if she actually sent them then it would only cement that feeling of longing in her mind and then she’d just feel really bad. And that simply wouldn't do. It’s new years. Think about the year to come, not the year behind.

Mirai listened to the Shogun’s speech. She wondered about the people in the crowd beside her, the people who most likely had lived through that quake the Shogun was praising everyone for pulling together to fix. She felt oddly distanced from the people around her simply because most of them would have seen first hand the terrors of the quake when she had been nowhere near Edo at the time.

The year ahead… what would the year ahead hold? There was no way to predict it, of course, but that was no reason not to consider what she hoped the year might be like. And, quite frankly, she was looking forward to it; now that it was the new year, she truly felt like she was completely and wholly free from old obligations and old doubts. She’d do her best at her classes, she’d attend club meetings, she’d meet and make friends with other Bugei students and she’d still make sure to find time to squeeze in frequent kendo practice - she’d brought her shinai with her from Kyushu, and even if she was supposed to be using her katana now, she could hardly bring herself to abandon kendo. Even if she might struggle to keep up with schoolwork and practice, even if there were hardships along the way, Mirai was utterly convinced that the year ahead would be her best one yet. She wouldn’t have been able to say why she felt so sure. She just was.

She looked up at the fireworks, exploding across the sky like bursting stars, and smiled.

Kadowaki Nao yawned as he looked around at the crowd, at the girls singing, and at all the fireworks. Flashy, loud, and annyoing. At his side, there was his Relic, his Maul, that belonged to the right hand of Tokugawa. Behind that was a somewhat noticeable line in the ground where he had drug the hammer, carving a line in its path. "This is tiresome." He mumbled to himself, looking up at the fireworks, as one red one burst, reminding him on the time previous where his life was saved from a crazy monk from a similar flash of red. He looked down at the maul, as he had never truly forgotten that day, or even tried to. It had been pretty clear that his sloth was doing him more harm than good.

He always prided himself of being ahead of the game due to his intelligence, but the game had changed and he was falling pretty far behind. It was the new years, which meant new beginnings. Looking down at the Maul, Nao, gripped it by the handle, and swung it up, careful not to hit anyone, resting it against his shoulder, as a small smile crept onto his face. Yeah. it was a new year. No need to repeat the mistakes of the old year. It would be stupid to just do the same thing over and over again...

It felt good to be back in Edo. The real Edo. Even though the night air was a bit cold the energy in the air was pure and electrifying as Azai Nobuyori stood with the rest of the crowd outside of Edo Castle. Somehow he and most of the students who had been guarding the Shogun managed to survive. A lot of the students had been injured, but it was still better than death. As the young Azai thought about this he said a small prayer for Kajiwara Masumi as a series of lights flooded over the crowd. Nobuyori had his signature blond hair a bit past his ears and was currently dressed in a blue sweater with the golden Azai crest on it, a nice belt, and his black jeans.

Nobuyori's arm was feeling far better, and it couldn't have come fast enough. As he looked up at the stage and the singers began performing the cheerful music washed over him. He didn't have his relic or his weapon on him. Tonight his sweater even had a smaller Azai crest on it. Tonight he was just Azai Nobuyori the person and not the student or the samurai. It was truly a celebration as he smiled and sung along to the music.

As the people around him also cheered and starting singing he really felt like a resident of Edo. In spite of really being from Omi tonight everyone in the crowd, the samurai, the students, the people even not attending, all of them felt like part of one city. It was one of the most amazing things Azai Nobuyori had ever felt. Pulling out his phone he texted Suishoku. He didn't know if she was in the crowd or not, but he wanted to tell her things.
"Dear Sui,

I hope you are doing great tonight! I hope you are in the crowd watching this!"

He would then send her a picture of the performance going on. For Nobuyori tonight wasn't a night of sadness, or really even much of a night for reflection. This was a night to move forward from this point on and try to let go of the past year.

Nobuyori out

Mika arrived at the venue donning a fine silken kimono for the cold with a pull bag strap purse in her hands. Hair done up with white bird kanzashi and one of her baby blue scarfs around her neck for padded warm. She needed lots to think over since the whole year felt too harsh of an experience that left her more detached from her main family and relations with her twin brother in disarray. They attempted to make up upon his return, when the school was rebuilt, and some time during Higan-E but neither encounters hit their mark. Her hand left her purse bag to press onto her upper forearm as she thought back on how her brother hugged her upon his return. The girl was at a loss of relief and regret for how she acted back then and fled. I should be happy. I should be happy I still have a family and a brother. I should be happy that he actually cared about me.

Her mind tried to console herself in ensuring things will be okay as the Shogun's speech addressed the crowd around her. The task for her part during Higan-E felt like a failure to her to meet the Shogun's gaze. Their task was to be back up and, if needed, escape with the Shogun and his family. That took an unexpected turn as well. None of it was their fault but Mika didn't like to settle for that excuse when being assigned to that sort of task. Her brother, or so she has heard, walked away with minor injury and handled himself well. Her Father and Mother would enjoy to hear tales of his efforts but Father was called to Edo to handle plans for the coming spring.

What thoughts did they have of her? The question made her worry with the family mindset taking onto different courses. If things at home weren't going to be welcoming as they are starting to be in Edo, Mika would have to find another recourse in her life. She thought to be the more reliable sister for her brother and aid him most in the slowly westernizing Edo. Looking back on the previous year did she find that much of her time wasn't directed to herself. She thought to be her brother's aid and secondary but for being weak and helpless in the more dire parts of the year, Mika has to grow out of the role.

Loud booms of fireworks drew in the amaze of the crowd and bright young singers took the stage for tonight's festivities. Mika raised her staring eyes to the wondrous bursts of color and held her purse strings once more. This year she hoped to change; become a more independent Honda Mikazuki.

She wanted to puke. This entire... festival, it was disgusting. How could they celebrate like there were no problems to take care of? It was a waste of time, a fancy little delusion to forget what was really going on. She was all for some drinking and celebrating, but this... this was downright despotism. It was like forcing down people's throat how 'good' they had it, just to fatten them up some more. There were more than enough wolves around to bite this toothless lion to death, but no... no just ignore that and celebrate something that wouldn't have been necessary to begin with had some people done their job properly instead of sitting on their fat asses and letting everyone do as they pleased.

Earthquake my ass... Shiki shook her head over so much ignorance. Ironic considering her own refusal to recognize the obvious under some circumstances, yet still perfectly appropriate for the situation. They had screwed things up... badly and now they were trying to hide the problem instead of fixing it. Bunch of spineless cowards... typical. She probably couldn't understand of course, she was a woman and an outsider, outsiders never understood anything! Especially not when they were women! At least that's what she imagined these shogunate boot lickers would have told her had she actually confronted them... if they hadn't just resorted to sending some people to kill her over night. That they were good at... avoiding the issues.

How could a whole city become so pitifully weak that a bunch of lousy off-shots of real warriors could command so much authority? Ugh... she just wanted to get outa here. Taking a deep gulp from the ceramic bottle in her left, Shiki's legs were dangling from the roof. She looked careless, without a worry and blissfully and drunk happy. None of that was true of course, she just had learnt to hide her true thoughts behind a veil of... well of what even? Of smiles? Yes, smiles everywhere. Just forget the world exists and smile away your worries. It worked for the world, so why not for her? Laugh and the world laughs with you...

Cackling to herself, she took guzzled down some more of the bottle's contents before spewing three mild curses at the city. It was disgusting... like cattle rushing to its butcher. Who would get slaughtered first eh? Not the supposed lions that were supposed to protect them that's for sure... too occupied saving their own skins. Then who would save the poor little sheep? Nobody of course. If sheep could not turn into lions, or hell... wolves would do, then how were they supposed to survive? They couldn't. They'd just become food for the wolves on the outside, the wolves forced to lead lifes that allowed them to survive. But how would the sheep know that? They only knew the blind happiness that the toothless lions injected into their naive souls.

Oh bother... she was looking at a graveyard again.

Suishoku sneezed a little and shivered a bit in her winter poncho for warmth. Underneath it were the ends of checkered mint and etched yellow dragonfly kimono sleeves peeking out with a navy blue hakama dress skirt underneath for the more festive occasion. Elite student band pinned on her arm. They weren't really given anything important of duties or tasks but the general assistance work which was fine by her. A lot of students needed some minor guidance on where to be on this given occasion. Her eyes wandered the crowd from where she stood since arriving for the duration of the Shogun's speech to pick out the faces of people she knew and wanted to meet up eventually. The Shogun looked rather healthy having lost an arm but that's not too important as the colorful light displays and dancers quickly replaced him after a questionably rousing speech. She can see the man wanting to maintain the order and cause less panic but only so much as their enemy doesn't appear right at their doorstep...again. Her eyes closed briefly on how the spring would even continue. The city would have to go into complete lock down or something so the people won't get caught up in anything so long as the fighting stays outside of the city. Oh, why think about fighting at all right now!?

She groaned internally and started making her way out of the crowd to the edges. It was along the way she caught sight of fellow Elite; Kurome. She wave them a small wave to show she noticed the girl and maybe to Eriko if she was somewhere around as well before moving on. Fireworks burst in the backdrop of the castle almost drowning out the singers as near everyone who cared for the lights looked up at them. That man does have a way with putting ease to the civilians as they display looked brighter and more plentiful than previous festivals. Her phone shook to life as she opened it up to thumb past the picture saved of her trip to Omi as a background pic. It was from Nobu. She smiled some at his almost obvious question as she texted back.

To Nobu,

Course I am! Hate to miss festive stuff, ya know! V^.^
Good to know you're out here too.

She sent it away with an attempted a peace sign selfie of herself with the fireworks going off in the background. The picture was sent off after checking to see if her head wasn't cut off too badly before sending it away. Somehow sending that off had her feel a bit better about tonight as the celebration went off around her. There was needed pause before taking the time to text a few others of concern and to spread some celebration mood of a few people that came to mind.

To Carmine,
Hey! Happy holidays! Hope you're still in Edo long enough to see these fireworks here. Be safe. =)

To Mikoto,

Hope you're enjoying the fireworks out here! Have a safe holiday! ^w^\

To Yumiko,
The lights and colors are so bright this evening! Even more fireworks than usual. Woah!! ^o^

If things were going to be bad later then at least there is now to enjoy the most out of. Putting her phone away for a bit, she put off her student search for a moment to dance with some kids she saw trying to mimic the dancers on stage. This was much more fun.

Isn’t it breathtaking to look at the beautiful sight of fireworks? Yes it truly is. The only problem is how there are so many people around, and how it’s so loud, so she had to move to a spot where she could be alone. It’s not their fault, though, people are just spending their time being happy. Besides, before she got here, the students at Edo Bugei already went through a lot of missions. Those missions are pretty hard, and they could die, but thankfully they didn’t. They are still well.

Saika raised her eyes to the sky, now colorful because of the fireworks. Truly a wonderful sight. The shape and colors of the fireworks remind her of little flowers she kept seeing when she was little; tiny, beautiful flowers. Or even the flower in her mother’s hair in her picture. She remembered what her father said about it; his wife wore them on their first … and those two were brought together.

Was it really the flower? Maybe not. However, her mother believed that it really was the flower that brought them together, and so she considered it special.

Which then leads to Saika asking, “Do I have some sort of connection with flowers? I mean … mother …”

Removing that thought in her mind by shaking her head, she said, “Whatever. It’s not really that important.” With that, she ate a piece of dango and continued, “At least Kotaro isn’t here.”

For now.

Matsu

The Earthquake has passed.

He thought to himself for a moment, before being called back to reality by the deafening noise and uncountable amount of chattering in the background around him. But he dazed back to the world of his imagination once again.

He suddenly recovered by the abrupt greeting by a group of people nearby who recognized him. One of them is a member of the Hattori Ninja that serves the Tokugawa. And, he was the one who approached and talked to him.

"Young Master, are you feeling okay now? Are you completely certain on what you plan to do in the future? Okay, calm down and think it over again. Right now, there’s still time to turn back and look; don’t do such things all because of one foolhardy moment. Besides, what sort of benefit does it bring to you?"

(Benefit…?)

In other words, return.

"Young master, please return to Edo Bugei. And, do as befit your status and position. Be an example to these people. You're one of the few scions that represent the shogunate after all".

And, several minutes later.

Matsushina Honda’s desires, which matched the risks he took.

Matsushina held his breath as he nestled between the open air balcony and the door at the top of the high-rise castle, restraining his heart that was almost in a state of rampancy, and adjusted his breathing. (I'm glad uncle is okay.. ) He thought to himself, with guilt, as he has regrets not being able to help much at that time.

Looking at the figure of the Shogun after he finished his announcement. He would glance over at the fireworks. He grabbed his phone and would look at a picture of the shogun's family as well as his own.

Smiling at the sight of his sister. " Now then, I should get going".

Kana

She patted herself on the cheeks to motivate herself.

She affirmed the situation. It was night, soon to be the next day. The edge of the roof could not obstruct the view of the lights scattered along the streets, ostensibly a torrent of light that purified the darkness.

They were fireworks.

Under that blanket of lights, the starry sky could not be seen. What the naked eye could see were the blinding flashes of light. It was endless flurries of fireworks being shot skyward, as far as the eyes can see.

Now then…

Kana leaned her back on the wall in the shadows, and peered down at the street. What could be seen below was the street of Edo. She casted her sight downward with little interest as she occupy the balcony of the castle with several guards and Maeda clan's ambassadors.

Not so long ago, before the earthquake, it was a bustling area well known as the shogunate district, and at this point, still remained the power base and capital for the shogunate, something she knew from her father. It was a city of politics, with building ranging from large to small, a hotbed of politic activity.

A memory flashed in her mind, reminding her that she once came to this place for a “meeting with the shogun”, and spent a lot at this place. But at this point, she had forgotten about it, because of the incredible changes.

" I wonder how things will be from now . "

She would follow the rest of the ambassadors out of the castle and into the street.
